As Rubio stated in his press conference...

"I want to be playing in the NBA the next season"

His old team would get seriously bad PR for being extreme and preventing Rubio from coming over. The kid will get cash from endorsements to cover a large chunk, or probably the entire thing. His team will end up settling for 3-4m, wolves + shoe company + some drink company will get the rest. He'l still have all his salary to blow as he sees fit.

Thought I read somewhere that they're hurting for money, thus they'll likely accept somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-6mil, just to get the money. Not my words, just what I read and repeated.

I seriously LOL'd at this for a good minute. Its ok D0, I dont care what J2J and Dr.Krap say about you behind your back, your good in my book. Though i cant protect you from Rev and his holy powers if you would rather take Thabeet than Rubio.

I lol'd too. Delton's bags are packed and by the door.

Sidenote: "Its ok D0, I dont care what J2J and Dr.Krap say about you behind your back, your good in my book." <--I USE THAT PHRASE ALL THE TIME. It's my favorite.

And in 6 years he'll be broke, right? If Rubio needs a financial consultant, I come highly recommended by Dr. K.

I love how in my spewing of garbage and poorly constructed humor I was able to inform someone. I should be given top award.

Rubio wants to play here, Vasquez does not.

If we got Wall I would play them together. Rubio is 6'4 at least. He could defend the SG easily with his wingspan. Could you imagine a backcourt of Wall and Rubio? (*MnWI just passed out)

Ok, so the buy-out is 7.8mil Rubio's 1st two years is a hair under 7.8mil, plus the Wolves can pay up to 500k of it, so figuring a 35% tax rate, that's 5.57mil, so Nike would need to give him a 3.43mil endorsement deal, that gets him the rest of the way if you're considering tax rates. That or Rubio gets a part time job as a Wal-Mart greeter. :-)

I just figure by June we'll be using that USER TAX that they keep talking about on CNBC. No federal or state taxes, but increased sales tax, basically. Then Rubio's on his own.

If he buys a new hybrid car, he can get a $7500 tax credit!

Whatever team that lands number 2 and doesn't for some odd reason take Rubio will trade the pick to the highest bidder. Therefore Rubio won't be slipping....

That's for a plug in hybrid though, i.e. the Chevy Volt. You don't want to be disseminating false tax information or the IRS might come after you. Besides, that's John2Jer's job

If he keeps his name in this year he'll have a buyout in place. He can't risk the hit in salary that sliding in the draft would cost him with that buyout to deal with unless he has a top three promise.

I personally think the Wolves should forget about him unless they get a top two lottery pick.
