Well I remember it like this:
Christie was done due to a foot injury.
CWebb was done due to knee injury (After he signed a huge deal with the Kings).
Vlade was done due to his age.
Peja signed a huge deal with the Hornets (After Petrie traded him to Indy).
Miller & Bibby did not want or deserve to go through "rebuilding"
Denied, I do agree that the signing of Shareef, Mikki and Beno make little sense in hindight. From the the front end of the deals I liked Shareef and Beno. Shareef's body broke down. Beno did not deliver this season. Mikki I never understood, he just does not have much game. Those are the negatives.
Now for the positives
Petrie drafted KMart, Hawes and JT. These 3 are the core of the team. Noc has game. Cisco has game. Donte has an upside. KT is an expiring. The Kings pick no worse than #4 in the 2009 draft and have the Rockets pick and the first pick in the second round.
Petrie is a good GM. He assembled a small market team that went to the brink of a championship. I have faith he can do it again.
But Denied you keep Petrie and the rest of us honest, carry on
