Where's Marvin Williams? Flip Murray is disaster in this game.

I think Marvin was feeling a little hurt, didn't he leave to the locker room in the first quarter?

This is exactly what I was afraid of. I knew Miami wouldn't miss all those wide open shots again. I didn't expect them to shoot THAT well, but damn.

And, our offense was once again exposed. We have absolutely no way to get easy baskets at all if we aren't in transition. All we did was go ISO the entire game, what a trash offense to watch. Woodson at his finest, once again.

To quote Sir Charles from Inside the NBA last night: "Atlanta has the worst half court offense in the world."

Woody's defensive strategy of leaving Flip and Mo isolated on Wade for extended minutes sure worked great. Meanwhile marvin only played 19 minutes.

Don't think it mattered who was on Wade last night. He got the majority of his points on hotly contested jump shots. It's not like Mo and Flip weren't defending him well. I don't know what's up with Marvin, I assume his back was bothering him because there's no way he only gets 20 minutes (and none in crunch time) in a game like that if healthy.

I was more worried that we continually left their other guys wide open. Leaving Cook wide open time and time again from outside is a complete joke. We also left Udonis Haslem wide open when he those two big jumpers in the fourth quarter. How we managed to do that with Wade out of the game is beyond me. That was just awful execution defensively.

I thought Haslem's jumpers were far enough away from the basket that they were bad shot attempts that he happened to make (see Josh Smith when he makes a long jumper). I could be wrong on that though, I'm not certain of his normal range. I do agree that leaving Cook open was inexcusable because an outside shooter is exactly what he is.

Both of the shots he took late in the 4th were the two spots he likes to shot the most from actually. He was at the perfect range too, sometimes he will take and make them a few feet further back.

I doubt we have a shooting night like that again though. You guys are effectively keeping Wade out of the paint and off the free throw line.

Quite frankly, our defensive game plan has been AMAZING. I've never seen any team ever keep Wade out of the paint as well as we are.

We lost this game for three reasons:
1. We played with no heart and intensity
2. The Heat played with tremendous heart and intensity
3. The Heat shot the lights out

I actually have to agree with you. I have never seen a team be able to keep Wade out of the paint like you guys have in the past two games (the 05 Pistons were close, but Wade wasn't nearly as good back then as he is now). I find it really stupid that Mike Woodson put Flip on Dwyane and let him get hot. Joe Johnson takes away Dwyane's jumper because of his length.

I will say this though, I will be suprised if Wade doesn't find a way into the paint in Miami... The 'Hawks really didn't play that bad in game 2, which actually should be encouraging for Heat fans since we wont be that hot again. You had 13 offensive boards to our 6, you guys had 25 fast break points to our 10, and the 'Hawks also attempted 30 free throws.
