Could Rondo average a triple double for the first round?

Post#1 » by Joyeuse » Fri Apr 24, 2009 2:48 am

OK, so it's really unlikely, but at the moment it's not looking outside the realm of possibility that Rondo averages a triple double for a playoff series. Right now, he is averaging:

22.7 points
9.7 assists
10.7 rebounds

I doubt he manages to end this series with over ten rebounds a game, but if he did, and managed to pick up his assists the slightest bit, Rondo would join a short list of players who have done it before:

Oscar Robertson
Wilt Chamberlain
Magic Johnson
Fat Lever
Jason Kidd

What do you guys think? Is it even remotely possible? And have I just cursed him by starting this thread?

I'm waiting on Rondo's quadruple double. It's coming.
