Bynum NEVER Fouled Out! Game Keeper Error?

Post#1 » by Jordan-esque » Fri Apr 24, 2009 7:14 am

http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=290423026

However, it was announced on Live TV he did. Can anyone confirm if the Jazz announcer said Bynum fouled out?

Yeah even I thought he had only 5 fouls. May be Phil didn't want to play him?

Yeah Live TV said Bynum fouled out..If it was the scorekeeper's error, and we didn't have Bynum because of it..the Jazz would be in big trouble

I don't know but there were also 2 incidents where the buzzer went off when the Lakers were inbounding the ball, seemed fishy, like they were trying to distract the Lakers squad. Like the crowd wasn't doing a good enough job already.

Why wouldn't Phil play him though? I think they made a mistake and claimed that Bynum fouled out, thats why he didn't play him

But you guys have to understand, the coaching staff also keeps track of the fouls etc. So I'm sure they knew.

Because Gasol and Odom were the better options, by far. Andrew just wasn't ready to play tonight, simple as that.

Yeah take out Odom and we lose by 10 + tonight. He was our only double digit rebounder if I'm not wrong. Bynum could have eased some pressure on Pau though but with 1 foul to give he wouldn't have offered much.

I just thought Phil got tired of him being completely ineffective and out of position on D...

We got reamed by calls so it's no surprise Bynum was in trouble... But I don't think anybody said he fouled out, just Phil wasn't using him...

We have got to have better 4th quarters... We go into the fourth in control and completely collapse untill the last couple minutes... That's not going to get us anything.

Im pretty sure they knew about fouls... that's too important in a game not to keep track. But LO was the man for us yesterday. He's been very consistent. I don't know.. i dont see bynum looked like he was ready out there. Maybe rhianna needs to be in the stands hehe jk

+1. Besides Bynum would have only played another 30 seconds before actually fouling out. No biggie.

hes gotta get up to speed on the flopping. i think a few of his fouls were the offensive charging type. and guys were falling all over the place to get him out of the game. the jazz know that we have a distinct advantage with our size. so hes gotta learn how to adjust his game in that manner. yeah it sucks, but weve learned from shaq, thats how they call it some nights. secondly, not everything is a swat. so he needs to extend his arms up not OUT all of the time. that increases chances of more flopping.

I was at the game, and he left after his 5th foul and never returned; so he did not foul out. Though, he was out of his game and likely would have only hurt the Lakers had he returned.

Funny how Sloan talks about getting NASTY, when all his team does is FLOP.
That foul that was called on Bynum when he was down low and he posted up I think it was Milsap and they called a offensive foul, IT WAS A FLOP............

I dont' know, I think if Bynum got to play Boozer wouldn't have set a Utah playoff record for rebounds. He's been crap offensively this series, but Bynum would've been huge, we were getting pushed around by Millsap and Boozehound all night.

EDIT: and you may say yo'ud rather have Odom than Bynum out there, but I'd much rather have Bynum than Powell out there.

I will have to call the bs flag on this post because I recorded the game and when bynum went out after his 5th foul the tnt announcers said Bynum fouled out and the screen said he fouled out. Bynum was helping the Lakers he just played short minutes due to foul trouble. he got 2 in the first and the 3rd within 2 minutes of the second quater then went to the bench. he did not play the entire 3rd (Odom started the third) and when came in in the 4th got called for his 4th than in the next play for the 5th.
