Re: CAT ROUND 2- MJAllDay59 vs. BBHoffa- Writeup's due Friday
First of Goodluck to MJallday
Ron Jermey Productions
Head Coach: Stan Van Gundy (4M): Guys been around and has had great success in Miami and Orlando. Has turned players like Hedo, and Nelson into all star caliber players, as well as making rashard lewis earn that contract of his. And best of all Dwight Howard loves him.
Assistant Coaches: Flip Saunder (2M):Turned a 26-56 team into a playoff team the next year with KG in Minnisota. Also set the all time single season wins total for the Detroit Pistons with a record of 64-18 in 2006/2007 season.
Assistant Coach: Patrick Ewing (1.5M): great mentor to Dwight Howard and has not recieved the respect he deserves.
Minute Distribution
PG: Jason Kidd-32/Derek Fisher-16
SG: Kevin Martin-26/Raja Bell- 22
SF: Carmelo Anthony-40/Shawn Marion-8
PF: Josh Smith-32/Paul Millsap-16
C: Dwight Howard-40/Nene-3/Brad Miller-5
VS
The Bayside High Cougars
Coaches: Avery Johsnon, Marc Iavaroni, Randy Wittman
PG: Chauncey Billups, Rodney Stuckey, Kyle Lowry
SG: Dwyane Wade, Jason Terry, Russell Westbrook
SF: John Salmons, James Posey
PF: David West, Leon Powe
Cc: Emeka Okafor, Joakim Noah
Coaching Matchup
I have to go with Ron Jeremy Productions as Avery has proven to be a choke artist in the playoffs with his 22-20 record compared to Van Gundys 23-17 record. We all know what happend in 2005 when the GSW knocked out the Mavs in the first round after they compilled 67 wins in the regular season.
Iavaroni has also not been in the post season as a head coach but did have limited success in PHX, howvever never one a championship with a highly taleneted team.
Flip Saunders is the veteran here and has played in 97 post season games and has made the conference finals 4 times.
Advantage: Ron Jeremy Productions
PG:Kidd/Fisher VS Billups/Stucky/Lowry
Though Billups has had success in the playoffs, Kidd has a simialar style of play with both player able to knock down long jumpshots as well as dish the ball without creating many turnovers. However the main difference is the depth. In the previous series he played terry as the backup PG and SG, and i beleive he cannot do the samething again as he will have major issues in the locker room with stucky complaining he is not recieveing any playing time. Fisher still plays a major role in this series and is use to coming off the bench from his days in Utah and does see significant minutes in this series.
Adv: Ron Jeremy Productions because of the lack of depth.
SG:Martin/Bell vs Wade/Terry/Westbrook
I have to give the cougers this matchup wade has also turned it up in the playoffs and the only way i can see stopping his is getting him tired in the defensive end as having both martin and bell be agressive with the ball as they both will share the SG position with 26-22 minutes a piece. Also i will have the double team come in with Howard coming in for the double and letting Smith take care of the post, as he his a great defensive player, and i dont mind letting okafor taking jumpers compared to leaving west open and letting him taking jumpers
Adv: Bayside due to D-Wade
SF:Antony/Marion Vs Salmons/Posey
Hands down Ron Jeremy Productions as we will be relying on Anthony on the offensive in this sereies. Posey who is known for his "great" defense has had limited success against Melo, with Melo shooting 52% against the Hornets and having a winning record against them. Marion will be in this game for a quick breather for Melo, but his defensive skills would be put to use when salmons is on the floor.
Adv: Ron Jeremy Productions due to Melo matching whatever Wade is doing and as well as telling Kidd what Billups "special moves" are.
PF: Smith/Millsap Vs West/Powe
This matchup depends on basically how much is he willing to play west as i believe both smith and millsap can take advantage whenever powe is on the floor.
In addition this season the hawks went 2-0 against the hornets, however both smith and west did a great job defending each other and both did not have great offensive statitics, and both did take care of rebounds in there ends.
Adv: Ron Jeremy due to the depth and both smith and west being able to guard each other so well
C: Howard/Nene/Miller VS Okafor/Noah
Dwight Howard is a beast and will feed on both of Okafors and Noahs weak frames and i see him going off for 25 rebounds a game. He went 4-0 against Okafor this season, as well as he has had his career high in points against okafor with 45. I would like to keep playing both nene and miller as they both bring in different skills sets for the limited minutes they see.
Also like i said earlier Howard will provide help for the double team on Howard, as i will let Okafor take any jump shot compared to David West who can light it up if hes open.
Adv:Ron Jeremy Productions and its not even close
Overall: I would have to take myself in 5 or 6 games the only reason why i say 6 is that wade maybe able to takeover in a couple of games but i cant see him holding this team up by himself with all the offensive weapons i have.
Will add more maybe on the weekend but i gotta get back to studing.
Goodluck
