-I got the cap numbers from http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=11713 I'm not much of a hoopsworld fan, but this seems pretty reasonable and it's the best numbers that I could find for the salary cap.
-I got the the luxury tax value since the salary cap is 51% of the BRI; 57.3 mill/0.51 = 112.35 mill = BRI and the luxury tax is 61% of the BRI so 112.35 millx 0.61 = 68.54 mill

Would you also let us know what the MLE will be? Thanks.

Alright the MLE will be set at 5.848 million; I figured out the average salary and that is the MLE http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q24
Avgerage salary = (total salaries teams paid for 08-09/(13.2 # don't know what it's from but its used)(#teams))x1.08 (8% increase)
Avg salary = [2,144,227,895 (added up every teams salary from shamsports)/(13.2)(30)] x 1.08 = 5,847,894.26 which rounded off is 5.848 million

New York and Detroit have come to an agreement

Leandro Barbosa $6,100,000
Sebastian Telfair $2,300,000
8400000 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $10,600,000

for

Al Harrington $9,226,250
Courtney Sims $711,517
2009 LA Lakers 2nd
$9,937,767

while we are going to be very thin in the front court after this trade, it was necessary for the team to move in the right direction. Harrington is having a great season but right now two young players for him was and oppertunity that New York left it could not pass up. Pairing Barbosa back with Dantoni was also a great addition to this trade. While i had intentions of drafting Wesley Matthews with the Lakers Pick, im sure i can get another 2nd in this draft.

Confirmed.
We have Richardson at the backup SG spot and have no need for Barbosa. We have Lou Will at the backup PG spot and have no need for Talfair. Harrington is a 9 mill expiring in 2010 which may come in handy. Until then he adds scoring and a bit of size off the bench. We also like the pick in the draft as we had none. May come in handy as well. We also like our bench a lot now.

Milwaukee declines to extend a qualifying offer to Joey Graham then waives him. Then the Bucks accept this deal. I think both players are on reasonable deals and can be useful pieces in rebuilding.

Unless you have a TPE large enough to pick up Graham, you aren't able to since he makes more than the minimum.

Ok forget it then. Sad to see Mr. Versatile he will be missed. BTW I sent you an email regarding free agency.

The New Orleans Hornets have two roster spots and will use part of their 3.57m exception to sign Joey Graham.

3.57m TE - 2.45 for Graham = 1.12m left on the TE from the Tyson Chandler Trade

We have the following TE's left for your consideration:
3.63m (Paul Trade)
5.43m (Pierce Trade)
8.31m (Duncan Trade)

Dan Gadzuric (6.25, 6.75, 7.25 )

Bucks accept. The flexibility we gain by giving up Gadzuric is worth the late lotto pick.

The LA Clippers and New Orleans Hornets have agreed to a trade:

Ime Udoka 1.08m

for

remainder of Chandler TE 1.12m*
2015 NOH 2nd Round Pick

*approximately 40k remains from the original Chandler TPE, an amount that is unusable. I have removed the Chandler TPE from my salary page. LAC now possesses a TPE of 1.08m for the exact amount of Udoka's contract.

The New York Knicks and LA Lakers have come to an agreement

Wally Szczerbiak $13,775,000
2009 LA Lakers First Round Pick

for

Rasheed Wallace $13,930,000

why for New York, our intentions all along have been to re-sign Bibby and Odom, and now we can re-sign Sheed as well. That would make our roster

Bibby
Barbosa
??????????
Lamar Odom
Rasheed Wallace

Leaving only the SF position to be filled ;)

Its actually Clippers and not Lakers. Clippers accept. We pick up a pick in the process to add another young piece to the puzzle and say good bye to sheed.

Clippers accept. The extra pick helps and Udoka can go on to help a contending team get better.
