uhh, the hawks need him really bad to play in game 4. Like if he is capable of walking, he really needs to be out tehre.

I was right behind the Hawks bench on Saturday night and he had an actual hard cast on.

Wrong.

He's wearing a soft cast.

And if he can walk and run...he NEEDS to be in uniform for tonight MUST win game. We need all of our horses...and no one is at 100% (health wise) at this point of the season. He needs to man up...and get out there and play! If he still complains about that minor injuiry, and doesn't play again tonight, I will lose a lot of respect for him as a player.

You can say that without knowing what the injury is?
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

I think its so ridiculous when people say that a guy should play no matter what. Seriously its just a game... if he isn't healthy enough to play he isn't healthy enough to play. He isn't so much better than the alternatives that he would still be helping the team at 70% effectiveness.

Ive also never understood the hatred of Speedy Claxton. Seriously- its not fault that he is overpaid and injured.

Marvin Williams is expected to be a game-time decision with a wrist injury for Monday's Game 4 in Miami, while the Heat's Jamario Moon is likely out with a groin injury.
Each player is a key for their team, so this news could be good for the Hawks, who are hoping to tie the series at 2-2 with a road win. Williams missed Game 3 and Sunday's practice with swelling in his right wrist, but showed improvement throughout the weekend. We're guessing he's back in the starting lineup tonight, which implies that he could have possibly tried to gut it out on Saturday.

Wasn't he out because of back spasms or something, now it's the wrist ? There's just something wrong about his injury (Back). I mean, it's his contract year and I can see him trying to avoid surgery, but he's been back for a while and his minutes/performance on the court kinda tell me we don't really know what the real deal there is, I just have a bad feeling about it.

what confuses me about the whole thing is how he was playing 15-17 minutes and was looking pretty damn good for those 15-17 minutes. didnt look like it affected him at all and he was just tryin to get eased back in.

^^^Ya I cant imagine Woody being that horrible of a coach. He didnt play him at all when he returned to get him back into shape, and now only played him only 15 minutes a game when he was healthy. Im confused.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Pretty much. If he's injured and can't play, he's injured and can't play.

But he's making lots of money so he should play through injury even if it endangers his long term health and/or career (in Speedy's case)!

He's too fragile of a player IMO. He's like glass.

I see Ben Gordon gutting out an partially torn hamstring injuiry tonight. Yes you need your wrist in basketball, but his wrist wasn't severely sprained....trainers could do a nice tape job on the wrist from prevent it from hurting further. Like I said before...no player playing in the playoffs is 100%. Many players play hurt. Get out there and play. Trust me...I SURE his teammates are echoing the same sentiment.

Now, I read that he may not play game 5 either. Either the training staff is not giving an accurate assessment of the injuiry, or Marvin's not willing to gut it out for 10-15 mins. I'm not asking him to play 40 mins...I just need him out there to doing spot-up work off the bench....if only for his length on defense.

Cause at the end of the day...the way I see it...if you're not doing anything for the team, what good are you to the team.
