Our backs are against the wall. Time for this team to show up and prove what they are capable of.

Bibby: Hawks have to ‘want it’

The words Mike Bibby spoke the day before were on target in the early going of the Hawks game against the Heat on Saturday night.

“We’re going to find out just how much we want it,” Bibby said before the Hawks departed for South Florida for Saturday’s Game 3 against Miami.

No confidence at all in this game. We are so bad on the road for some reason, and it really bothers me. I would have at least expected us to be competitive in game 3 at Miami, but we got blown out. In fact, we have yet to play a competitive road game in the postseason counting last season, so hopefully it occurs in game 4. The series is in our hands if we can just snag a victory tomorrow and head to Atlanta at 2-2, but I'm not sure we know how to win on the road.

Hopefully some pep-talk could fire up the team (courtesy of Mike Woodson).

I mean, they've got guys, veteran enough guys that have been through the battles. My guys haven't been battle tested. It's something new for our basketball team."

Our D that was there in Game 1 will have to show up again somehow for us to have a chance. The forced turnovers we create for opposing teams are what create our fast breaks and ensuing momentum.

Let's GO HAWKS!!

They need to interview Woodson more so the Hawks can have more bulletin materials to feed off.

I agree with you that the Heats 3pt shooting is hurting the Hawks, but i think the Hawks problem is their offense more so then the 3pt shooting. They are just struggling on the offensive end since MIA has limited their fastbreak opportunities.

True, though I think this is a direct result of the Hawks defensive breakdown. When they're flying around on D and causing turnovers is when they usually can get the fastbreak and easy points going.

^^^ Absolutely. We are at our best offensively when we are playing good defense, grabbing rebounds, and getting out in transition and getting easy buckets with our athleticism.

I wish them the best.... I can't take another letdown. I'd rather save myself he frustration and profanity! :( I hope they don't come out lookin like a JV team this time, being all overwhelmed by the birght lights or some crap.

Come on Hawks!! This series isn't over yet. You need to start this game with more energy and effort then you did in game 2. Play like you really belong and here and swing the ball on offense. Put more pressure on Miami on the defensive end also. Go Hawks!!!

Return to Atlanta Hawks
