When do we start looking at Bang it like Mbenga

Post#1 » by kevin_405 » Mon Apr 27, 2009 6:09 pm

Bynum has been a disaster in the playoffs picking up useless fouls, Inability to defend and score

I personally think he is not fully fit and should be rested for a month to make him effective. the knee brace effecting him is just a joke.. the main reason to me seems like his knee is not ready to take the pounding...

When do we start thinking about Mbenga and Powell at the backup center, before it starts getting too late

Bynum will bounce back. Getting back into the groove of things shouldn't be as problem free a transition as his first two games suggested. There will be hick-ups, but he needs every minute on the floor his knee can handle.

It's better for us to Play with a crap bynum, with the chance of him performing at elite level later in the run, than have Powel and Benga play their best NOW and LATER.

U are forgetting the job Mbenga did on Yao in the rockets game.. he was giving us a boost at the end of the season before Bynum came back, that too without fouling..

Our 2nd unit with out Farmar has done will with fewer half court or bad fouls..

Hopefully Bynum learns to play limited minutes without unnecessary fouling

Mbenga > Powell. Mbenga is a beast on defense. He would own Boozer.

Mbenga will get his minutes when we play physical centers like Yao/Przybilla/Nene but he'd be of no use against perimeter oriented big men like Okur and Boozer.

Powell has been getting his normal playing time again. Bringing some energy for us. It's right to do that with Bynum really struggling. When our big guys get in foul trouble, DJ will get his time. He'll be a good defensive matchup against centers.

Powell is not a shot blocker , Bynum cant move with the brace and looks lost with the bench..

Mbenga was playing well before palying time was given to bynum..

Mbenga deserves playing time against Rockets especially against lowry and landry combination

DJ is a decent defender but I hate it when he takes shots. I don't like it at all. I cringe everytime I see him take those 12 footers. I don't know why all the hate on Bynum. Given his injury and recent revelations about his conditioning, I thought he did okay against Yao in Game 2. I only saw issues with his timing; which will come with playing more and practicing more with his teammates. He will be a factor if not in this series the next one - Mark my words.

Nobody hates bynum, but everybody can see that he is not ready to play ball.. We are forcing him in and it is hurting the team.. We are living on hope of getting contribution in the next and the next series but what happens now matter more.. We lost game 1 and guess what Bynum was the main reason, killing our offense and ball watching on defense..

He needs to give way for Mbenga, the guy is ready and fit and as a backup will give Chuck Hayes and Landry a run for their money on the boards
