DWade is washed up. Move him this summer.

Post#1 » by exculpatory » Tue Apr 28, 2009 3:08 am

Dwade just completed a beyond horrific game shooting 8-24 overall, 1-8 from 3, with 5 TOs. He played like ****. His ISOs were ridiculous. He has to be washed up. Miami has to move him - maybe for Corey Maggette or 2 second round draft picks. By the way, Kobe was 5 for 30 the other day and looked like ****.

NOT. DWade, Kobe, Bron and PAUL MOTHERFRIGGING PIERCE - all of whom are in the same conversation as the best wings in the game - ALL HAVE BAD DAYS. It still galls me that some of our local geniuses immediately started to dump on Paul because his play in games 1 (23 points but a missed FT at the end and some sluggishness during crunch time), 2 and 4 (29 points including 2 clutch 3s - but 6 TOs and a missed FT at the end) of this series has not been at his usual superstar level. SO FFFFING WHAT! The third leading scorer in Celtic history (he will pass 20K with ease next year, and pass Bird with ease the following year), last year's FINALS MVP who had Kobe and Lebron for lunch, arguably the most clutch player in the NBA during the last decade, the superstar who waxed the floor with the Bulls in Game 3, a lock for the HOF ---- does not get proper respect - not only by some of the jerks in the media, but some geniuses on this board. I remember the days when Paul carried shithole teams on his back into the 8th seed all by himself. I also remember when he said "Give me a couple studs to play with and I will bring a banner to Boston". GUESS **** WHAT? He did exactly that. And this year, he will carry us to the ECF and give Lebron all that he can handle even though we are undermanned. We are incredibly lucky to have the Truth on this team.

GO GREEN.

Pierce might be the most overrated player on all of these boards.

3 of the 4 games against the bull PP has been awful. He cost the team game one with a missed FT and cost them another yesterday with a combination of TO's, missed shots and yet another missed FT.

I love PP but in my mind the guy is spent. There is only so much he can do and all the minutes he has played all season is catching up to him. It does not help either the the celtics bench absolutely sucks right now so Doc has to keep him in.

Joe, go ruin another thread. There were numerous reasons why we lost Games 1 and 4 - including mistakes by Paul and many others.

PP had a chance to end both games and he failed by missing a simply FT. Everything I said in my previous post is true.

All Pierce does is post up at the elbow/top of the key and occasionally drain those shots. whats so great about that?

Yeah, hopefully both Miami and NO will dump Wade and Paul and we can get them for the vet min. I mean Paul had like 4 points, 6 assists, and 7 TOs, Telfair usually turns in better games than that.

I highly doubt Wade looked as slow and old as Pierce has looked lately.

But, hey, don't take my word for it. Let's call Miami and see if they'd be willing to trade Wade for Pierce straight up.

as much as i hate to admit it, pierce looks worn from the season....should we trade him? HELL NO...as much as rondo is baling right now, #34 is STILL the best player on this team. why do you think BBD get's those open looks? pierce is being doubled 75% of the time

paul isn't the type to chill and lose, he's gonna put his heart out there, watch and see, i'll put money on it, tired or not

I know one thing...people say Chris Paul is a level above Pierce...yet his team losses by 58 pts at home, in the PLAYOFFS....no way in hell Pierce let's his team lose by 58 pts..not even now that he is losing a step on his game..imagine when he was at his 23's or so...he could play by himself and not lose by that much...dissapointing game by Paul...and don't get me wrong, I love the guy as much as anybody here...he is by far the best PG in the league...but you can't let your team get whopped like that...never..that's why Pierce is great IMO...never backs down and rolls over..dude is a warrior...underrated as hell...people who say he is overrated are out their friggin minds..

^Chris Paul needs to do it for another 6-8 years before he can even be in the same sentence as Pierce, Wade, Kobe, LeBron, etc...

Paul *does* look wiped out, though...tired as hell.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

All sarcasm aside, Miami got back to back terrible 4 point play calls yesterday. Bennett Salvatore was of course the lead official in that game.

No kidding.....I think Wade must have fathered Salvatore's kids or something, the way he **** helps him out all the time. It all began when the Miami Salvatores won the title in 2006...did Bennett wear his championship ring last night?

I still think Pierce is going to be fine. The only issue is that Doc gave about 2 million minutes to a guy that is 31 years old and played through June. Every time Pierce gets called out through the media or whatever, he comes through with a huge game.

Pierce overrated? LOL. Check his head2head stats against Kobe over the years and watch some of those Finals games.

Paul Pierce still has a lot of game in him and still has the heart of a warrior. But he just isn't as dominant offensively as he used to be.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I'm not worried about P. The doubters were saying the same things last year, then Game 7 against the Cavs happened. Of course the doubters jumped on his nuts after that

Pierce is a lifer. Any Celtic fan who doesn't see that is missing the point.

Return to Boston Celtics
