I agree the nba should have avoided this, but you do realize that the only stat you guys won was made free throws, if not for the intentional fouls at the end the bulls would have had less attempts. and boston is by far the more physical team.
5 less shots made
2 less rebounds
4 more turnovers
5 less blocks

According to the actual definition of the foul, you cannot place your legs outside your shoulder width while setting a screen. You are actually criticizing the refs for making the correct call.

4 non-calls on pierce is such a ridiculous statement. They weren't calling contact in the lane i.e. no-call on Hinrich's offensive rebound, not a single trip to the line late for Gordon etc.

The steal foul with pierce on salmons was total bull I agree; however, pierce was standing out of bounds and it would've been bulls ball with 1 second off the clock and the celtics having to foul
anyway.

Paul was pulling on his jersey. That is a foul.

how about the noah dunk in one of the over times were big baby nailed him, thats not an and 1? terrible calls/non calls have gone both ways. the only difference is that pierce cries about them much more. it was weird watching game 4 when you can clearly tell he gave up complaining lol

Bulls fans need to stop their hypocrisy about our players bitching at the refs while they have that red-faced bitch Miller on their squad.

I miss EWill posting that softy up in those battles with Indy. That's what we're missing. A guy to knock some teeth out.

Yeah, and I'm sure Rondo draws 7 fouls in the first quarter in game 2 because the refs are so sincere..

It's obvious the benefit of the doubt always goes to the hometeam. The Bulls did get some calls yesterday, but that didn't win them the game.

Likewise, the Celtics did get some calls in game 2, but that didn't win them the game.

As for the posts that argue that Pierce is an "unrespected star", maybe if he didn't yell and cry for a foul on every single possession he might get a few more calls.

Why post here if you're going to use logic?

Wait, didn't KG go to high school in Chicago. He must be faking his injury because he happened to play here. We have infiltrated your team.
I'm a bulls fan.

While it took two overtimes to decide Sunday’s Game 4 in Chicago, the most dramatic turn in the game might have come late in the fourth quarter when Kendrick Perkins was whistled for a sixth foul. Somewhat predictably, it was for a moving screen. Celtics coach Doc Rivers wasn’t arguing the call at today’s practice - in fact, he wasn’t arguing most of the calls on Perkins this season - but he was arguing the way Perkins gets called for things that he says other players (wink, wink, Brad Miller) routinely get away with. “Clearly, every game he is a target for that call,” Rivers said. “He had two yesterday where there was zero contact. “Officials look at tendencies, which is good. And Perk does move on screens. But other guys do too.” MetroWest Daily News

Rivers suggested Perkins doesn’t make himself many friends with constant scowls and negative reactions to calls. “I might need to tell a ref ‘nice call’ too,” Perkins admitted with a snicker. “I think as a team as a whole we are not the favorites of the refs. I don’t think the refs pretty much like the Boston Celtics. I don’t know (why). We’ve got a lot of talkers on this team.” MetroWest Daily News

An NBA official said it doesn't appear that Bulls center Brad Miller will be reprimanded any further for his retaliation after being fouled hard by Celtics forward Glen Davis in Game 4 Sunday in Chicago. The Celtics held a 73-72 lead as Davis grabbed a defensive rebound. Davis was losing his balance and threw a pass directly to Miller, who attempted a layup and was fouled by Davis with 10:02 remaining. Miller reacted by appearing to forearm Davis in the head. PP, Ray and KG can all get calls IMHO. But its predictable they wont get them in a Bulls "must win" situation. People think Stern was "stupid" to let two NBA refs from Chicago call the game. But Stern isn't stupid.

I dont think the NBA cheats directly they are just smart enough to understand bias and use it. I am sure most every single NBA ref thinks they are above bias. But research points to the idea that people are effected by the home crowd. The home town bias is like icing on the cake..

The NBA gets what they want - a longer series. And any potential bias is ignored by fans who chalk up any Boston gripes as "whining" Its a win win for a business like the NBA. Some fans might gripe about the officials but we still watch.. Thats all they care about.

By far the worst officiated sport of all the majors....baseball umps, who have the most error-prone instances (safe/out, subjective strike-zones) do WAY better...

Baseball umps also have 5 minutes between each call. And hardly ever move from one place.

There greatest challenge should be to not fall asleep before the end of the game.

Never umped before have you? Baseball umps have so much stuff going on in one play, and, they also don't know where the ball or the players are going. Baseball is a difficult sport to ump. Go to a minor league game and watch how much running the umps do. They have to essentially play the game like a fielder. If it's deep in the corner and a guy goes for a triple, you have so many responsibilities. Even a 4 man crew has a lot to handle.

These guys are very good, especially when you consider how poorly NBA refs are. If you think the NBA is bad, check out college. NCAA refs thinks a charge should be called every time.
