Down 4-0 in 8th.. we really needed a lights out performance from CC..... our pitching has to get better and I thought I would not be saying this, so early, but we need A-rod back, fast....

CC did not pitch poorly. A team that averages 5.5 runs should have been able to put it together there. I know Verlander was dealing, but the offense has to make something happen. CC was dealing too, so what did Leland do? He manufactured a run by having Granderson bunt his way on. Girardi needed to have something like that. I don't know if it is the personnel or what, but we never seem to be able to scrap together runs when the opposing pitcher is dealing. That has been a problem for years, not just this year or last year. It needs to change. -Jitpal
