With a gentle push and a mild arch...

Post#1 » by TG13Returns » Tue Apr 28, 2009 2:19 pm

Just wanted to give a shout out and sincere thanks to Hot Rod for all the memories. I thought it was nice of players like Fish and Kobe to acknowledge and appreciate what he did by going over to congratulate him after the game last night, one of the few classy moves the Lakers made all series. My hat goes off to Hot Rod for a spectacular career and I hope to see him around the arena as a fan for many years to come.

Hots I've been listening to you call Jazz games my entire life. I know he stole some of of his saying from Chick Hearn, but he's the first to admit it.

Yo-yo the belt high dribble
Frozen rope...you could hang your wash on that baby

I love that he tried to nickname Deron Slick...but Deron quickly shot that down. Also is it just me or was there is stretch in the early 90's where he was taking his flask to the game every night?

He loved the game, loved the Jazz, and had a hell of a career.

I wish he would open up a sports bar in Salt Lake call it Hot Rods, that would be a great place to watch a ball game.

you didn't appreciate Hots fully until you were forced to hear an announcer for another team (or to Boler).

Actually, I think Locke would be a great replacement. Unless, of course, he doesn't know how to commentate, a la boom goes the dynamite...

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

I thought what Kobe and Fisher did was super classy. Both shaked Hot Rods hand before and after the game. Fisher was bowing at the end of the game...lol. The more I think about it the reason I hate the Lakers is Lamar Odom...he is a tool.
