Why hasn't...

Post#1 » by Pappyman » Tue Apr 28, 2009 5:27 am

Ronnie Price been playing this entire series? He single-handedly brought the Jazz back in the fourth quarter. This game ended when Sloan brought in Brevin Knight in the second quarter. Isn't it amazing? The take out Williams, put in Knight, and the Lakers go on a run and never trail again. What the hell was he thinking? This coaching mistake cost us the series. How disgusted I am.

Yeah, for sure the Jazz would've won the series if Price had been in.

Pretty ironic methinks...
No, the #1 priority remains to trade Kirilenko and to hope for our frontcourt opting out...

Funny for sure.
What the mistake could have cost us is a better seed.

Laugh it up, but look at how much our offense fell off with Brevin on the court. That is where the Lakers started their big leads every game. It wouldn't have meant the series, but we would have had a chance.

Price was starting at the beginning of the year and everyone wanted Knight to start and play more minutes because Price was playing horribly. One game doesn't make Price a good backup. I still think a backup PG should be one of our priorities along with a shotblocking center.
I can't believe I'm still saying this after 3 seasons. KOC is just as good at adjusting as Sloan.

Watching Brevin Knight play basketball makes me sick to my stomach. It makes me long for the days of Jason Hart, Milt Palacio, Keith McCleod, and John Crotty.

In the 5 game series he played a total of 17 Minutes!! That's how much of a rest he gave to Deron. In those 17 minutes the Jazz were outscored by 18 points (it seemed more like 50).

He didn't cost us this series, but his abismal play during the second half of the season certainly was a big reason we fell to the 8th seed.

Please for the love of God get rid of Brevin, draft a point guard and bring back Ronnie P as our 3rd.

He wasn't as bad as Hart or McLeod. Those guys were horrible.

The hell he wasn't he averaged 2.6 points on 35% shooting this season. He can not shoot a jumper or drive to the basket to save his life. Also averaged about 2 assists, but cmon I could go out there and throw the ball to Harpring curling at the free throw line. I know he made some steals but every steal was matched by a turnover.

I agree that Hart and McLeod were horrible, but Brevin was just as bad.

I really thought he should of swiched for Price after the first game. Jackson and the Lakers seemed to really take advandage with the bigger stronger Brown.

Ive been saying this all along. Sloan favors vets over more talented, younger players for no other reason than the are vets. Big mistake. Its a pattern with Sloan. I like Sloan, dont get me wrong. But his mistakes do cost us. The Knight mistake cost us a better seed. No doubt about it.

And people wonder why we lose on the road. Hard to win when you start the second quarter giving the opponent 10 unmatched points.
