We should sign Rasheed Wallace with our MLE this offseason. If we do I gurantee we will have a winning season

At this point I would rather throw it at Brandon Bass. I would love to get him locked up for the full MLE for 5 years, he would look right in this lineup.

I am a Sheed fan though, so I am not opposed to the move, although there will be a true contender that has the same idea right now and if that contender is one of the teams in Texas he doesn't have to pay any state taxes, so we're twice as funked.

How bout Drew Gooden? Meh?

Brandon Bass?? no thanks..

Brandon Bass for 5 years?? Hell no..

Brandon bass is a jumpshooting PF that rarely passes the ball once he gets it.. I dislike his game and the only reason he gets away with his offensive game is because he subtitutes for Dirk who plays similarly only 3000 times more effective..

I'd rather give McDyess a 1 or 2 year deal..

No way, Bass would fit awesome with Brook, IMO.

Haha Drew Gooden. I personally love Drew Gooden, but he only plays 3 quarters a game and mails in the other. You never know which quarter he's gonna mail in too. Every single game though he just has 1 quarter where he'll get 2-3 absolutely (Please Use More Appropriate Word) fouls that takes him out of the flow of the game for a while.

I'd love Brandon Bass on the Nets. Plays with a lot of heart and emotion. We need another guy like that.

there are interestings free agents power forwards out there this year. However, a report from NBC says that Sheed is going to retire!!( i saw it on pistons`board). We, then, are forced to look at other free agents:
I do like Drew Gooden.I think he would help our team a lot, and he´s perfect to take the pressure off Brook Lopez, besides he rebounds the ball very well(he´s avg. 7 rbds in 24 min). I also like McDyess. He plays with heart, and did very good this season avg. almost a double-double(9.8 ppg and 9.8 rbds). Besides those players, there´s Paul Millsap, who is definitely a "moose", which we need so much.

I don't think anyone has a shot at stealing Millsap away from Utah, especially if Boozer opts out.

But if you disregard that fact, I'd looooove to have the kid.

Memohis is definitely in the running for Millsap if they want him, especially if Boozer stays.

Sheed probably wants to go to a contender, and while we might be a playoff team next year we're still not contending.
I think Shawn Marion is a strong possibility for us the guy has a pretty big ego and wouldnt mind playing for a decent team for good money which is something we can probably give him.

My god this would be an orgasmic lineup

Harris/Dooling
Vince/CDR
Simmons/Hayes/Marion
Marion/Yi/Anderson
Lopez/Najara

Like I have said before, signing Sheed is 4 years too late. No reason to do this. I would rather draft, sign or trade for a younger PF that is going to grow with this team.

As far as Marion is concerned, I still think he has the ability but this guy is damaged goods and I am not talking physically.

Dirk's charmin soft, another Peja Stojakovic only he's a power forward.
Bass does what a power forward should and can jump out the gym.

Sign Sheed, that would be awesome. The Nets forever in that "not good enough to be a playoff threat, not bad enough to get a top 3 pick".
