Why Brent Barry is not getting any minutes?

Well experienced player that can really shoot the light out with Yao being consistently doubled or tripled, I dun get it. Give Brent 8-12 minutes, he should contribute with his experiences in playoffs.

because instead of shooting the ball he was trying to be a play maker (turn over), and on top of that his shot hasnt really been falling...

Thing is, Yao isn´t traditionally doubled and trippled in the way that the Blazers are giving up 3 point baskets. Most of the 3s came from broken plays, after offensive rebounds or Artest just chucking them up.
And what indicates the Rockets lack experience on the court ? They are not exactly rattled by anything the Blazers throw at them anyway, no need for a veteran just to have one on the court.

In theory i really liked the combo of Brooks/Barry, but it didn´t really work when they were on the court.

Plus, who would he guard ? Outlaw ? Roy ? Fernandez ?

Not in this series, if we get to the Lakers, we should see some more BB.

Wafer's been playing too well.

He had that clean ass backdoor dunk the first game, but that was already a blowout. IMO that's the only time he should play. This team is too fast for him and considering we're already having trouble with guard penetration it'd be dumb to put barry in.

Fernandez looks like a young Brent Barry
he should be out there for end of game free throws
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

this series is not suitable for him.
but i think he can keep artest in check if he plays a bit playmaking in other games. Don't see him passing to artest the moment he gets the ball unlike brooks.

Brent Barry can't guard and his decision making in terms of passing is questionable because he's shown he made bad decision. On top of that, he can't drive anymore. Against the Portland team, he will be outmatched if he's on the floor.

why would you give BB minutes over Wafer/Battier/Artest? He's basically a spot up shooter at this point in his career

The only rationale to play Brent Barry is when both Brooks and Lowry sucks and we need someone else to handle the ball... like Game 5's 4th quarter.

I think Barry can hang with Blake defensively. Maybe Fernandez too. I say give him a chance in game 6.
