Re: New GM a Team Transactions Thread
Philadelphia and Los Angeles have agreed on a deal.
76ers will send:
Big Baby Davis ($711,517) and 2011 2nd round pick (Philly's own)
Los Angeles will send:
Jordan Farmar ($1,080,000)
Works with 125% rule.
Why?
Small deal but helps both teams with wholes. I have a gapping hole at the back up point. Farmar, not only my boy, but he fills this spot for the back up. Big Baby fills a spot for L.A. because he doesnt have alot of big man depth. Good trade for both team.

i already have mo and fisher so farmer was expendable. Glen brings some front court presence which the Lakers lack, as well as a future second rounder.

Dallas claims Sean Marks.
And accept this deal, I would like a 1st rdp ick if possible, and some other assets, I also dont care about Banks'poopy contract.

We give up a 2010 expiring and two guys that can start on most teams, and we really like Bass as a young guy off the bench. That being said we get a guy that is still a top tier center in Shaq and a pick in this draft. We have a two headed monster at C now, with Shaq/Okafor and with Dirk at the PF spot we like our our frontcourt quite a bit.
^^Black Ice are you the only Team this guys talks to. I have sent him numerous offers, and he doesnt seem to respond. He can at least respond saying he doesnt like the deal or something!, even though i sent him better offers than what ive seen. no offense.

Me too. Sent several with completely different offers and didn't hear a word. I don't know if we'll find anyone to take that roster after so many uneven trades, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Egh. Ok after much consideration I've decided to voluntarily void the trade myself. My main reason is that if I end up winning my cat I don't want people to point to this trade and say that my success is due to another..questionable GM giving away their assets. Also I agree I gave up a lot less then I got but isn't that the point of the game? Make the best trades you can? Still if I saw this trade with another two GM's I might veto it.
Also you guys are complain a lot about this trade but Gasol was traded for Mo Willams and Turk (a guy that can walk this offseason). Isn't that more questionable and more lopsided in terms of value then this trade, I didn't see public veto requests after that one. Anyways the trade is void. Richardson and Harrington are back on the block.

Re: New GM a Team Transactions Thread
^to the above comment i trade gasol because his contract was a 2011 exp and i am looking for cap room in 2009 and 2010 so i can resign lebron and add quality players beside him which will be done with the following trade
As well in the previous trade with the celtics i said would waive Ike Diogu if childress counted towards my roster count if he does i guess he is already waived. And then in addition i would like to waive Darnell Jackson. HOWEVER if previously i did not have to waive Ike Diogu then he is officially waived now.
I know its complicated but i hope you guys understand. Im just waiting for the commish to comeback from his trip so i can update everything.
The Lakers and Mavs have agreed to the following trade,
allen----------$18,388,430
Sasha Vugacic-4,542,887
Luke Walton---4,420,000
Total: 27,351,317
for
Nash:12,250,000
Corey Maggatee: $8,275,862
Sean Marks:$797,581
Yakhouba Diawara- $875,000
Total: 22,227,131*1.25=27,748,053
Losing Ray allen sucks but we add an elite pg who lebron will be having a lot of fun playing with. We also get a quality sg to replace allen in Maggatee, though his contract sucks the lakers get rid of the contracts of walton, and vugacic. As well we save cap room to maybe resign hedo or childress in the offseason.

By that logic why did you trade for Mo? His contract also goes past 2010. Also Gasol is a top big man in the game, I just thought the value was way off. I mean what if ORL traded Howard for expirings and said they did it so they could have room for 2009/2010? Not trying to be a **** and complain about stuff just wanted to point that out.

Re: New GM a Team Transactions Thread
Your right Blackice but mo's contract is half of that of gasols and he has had tremdous success with lebron this season, and at that time i did not know i could get steve nash, and i could not pass up on the opportunity as i save even more cap room for this offseason as his contract is less then ray ray's. As well they were complaints by people saying they were some payrolls that were very high and i was at 96 Mill which is unacceptable so im trying to cut it down to around 75-80 mill.
*and try keeping discussions in the discussion thread as last time this happend a few posters got pissed because of all this back and forth discusion in this thread.

Fair enough, a pretty solid explaination though I still think Gasols value is very high, etc. but you had a logical reason for doing the trade.
BTW I sent you an offer for one of your PG's.

I had to do it.
First off, i got Maggette for CHEAP, it only took me like Mark Blount, so losing him won't hurt, he can't exist with my team since my team needs touches, and when some of my starters rest, either Gil, Ray, Prince or Shard stays with the benchies.
Secondly, Nash is still a good guy, but unfortunately, I'm building my team to win and at teh same time, for my enjoyment, I love Gilbert, and Im a fan of him obviously, so I wanted to keep him, RAY RAY's clutchness would be definitely welcomed here, now I know Luke and Sasha's contracts sucks, but still, they're decent rotational guys, that reunites Sasha, Walton with Radmanovic! The big 3 ftw?
Plus Diarrhea sucks..bah, that's it.

Denver accepts. Rose does not give us anything, and the pick will most likely be in the bottom 5, so giving it up is not a big deal. I gain some 2010 salary, but Ridnour expires in that year and if I am desperate for a pick I can just trade him. I also already have Charlotte's 2010 first as long as it is 12 or over--so most likely I will have a 1st round pick anyway. This works perfectly for our plan of being in the lux-tax for one year in order to set up for the next. I will have a ton of money coming off the books in 2010. Luke will be a major part of this team both this year, and next.
