The funny part is that this Tim_Hardaway character doesn't even know what he is talking about anyway. There were plenty of fans who were booing Wade when he was on the ground after he hit his head but nobody was cheering. Once he got up there were still some boos but mostly polite applause.

But i guess the truth doesn't matter.

Yes, I am lying about what I heard last night. So is everyone else on the general NBA board, and even the Raptors forum (where they also have a thread on the game).

I'm trying to be very respectful on your board, so again, good luck in game 6. Hopefully Joe Johnson gets on track, if you guys advance you'll need him to do well against Cleveland.

WHO CARES AT THIS POINT,HONESTLY. Josh is one of the best athletes in this league and if anyone tells ur othere wise tell them to shut their dirty mouths. We were up 20 points with 5 min left and the crowd was buzzing. Josh wanted to do something special and he tried, but missed. If it hurt ur feelings and you feel offended please go cry about it, bc this is a mans sport. If you also are getting mad about us booing your diva for a superstar, you can go cry about that as well. I seriously cant imagine 19,000 fans all booed Dwyane. Atleast 10,000 people in that arena love him and im sure cheered. Maybe you heard boos prodominantly but im sure there were plenty of cheers you babies. Good luck in the next game.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

So the Hawks fans cheered when Wade and Smith went down together, but then started booing as Wade continued to lie on the floor. Why didn't they keep cheering if they thought he was hurt?

The story i heard from the people who were actually there is that Wade was getting boo'd by people who thought he was faking. That story is corroborated by a Miami writer.

Did it ever occur to you deep thinking Heat fans that maybe the Hawks fans were cheering because they got possession?

There is a big difference between cheering an injury and booing someone you think is faking.

This is hilarious. Who the hell cares? Did poor Miami have their little feeling hurts that Smith was going for a fancy dunk? Give me a break. This is a freaking sporting event, who cares. These are paid athletes, and if Miami doesn't like it, then maybe they should have been stopping us so Josh Smith wouldn't be in a situation to showboat. Crying over an attempted dunk attempt, lol. That is funny. Maybe Miami should stop worrying about what we do when we have a 15 pt lead, and start worrying about why we have the 15 pt lead.

I'm much more offended by Wade undercutting our players, which I remember seeing him do several times last night. He may have put Horford out for the remainder of the playoffs.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

I sit on the base line about 20 feet back from the floor and the end of the Hawks bench. On the 1st quarter injury play it was a wild scramble that we got the ball that was the cheering. We didn't even realize that Wade was down until the bodies cleared a bit because the action was going away from our end. Then it became people asking "What happened? How did he get hurt?" The booing seemed to be coming from up higher and I seriously doubt that those fans could see his head hit the floor unless they were using binoculars. They didn't show a replay on the big board, so those people didn't get to see why he was down. I didn't agree with the booing, but it wasn't like the TNT announcers made it seem either (meaning it was the whole crowd).

Smith tried to swoop the ball between his legs and, in the same motion, go in for a dunk that ended up clanging off the rim.

In Miami's eyes, the play was an insult.

"I'm not worried about that," Smith said. "My loyalty is with this team, not the Miami Heat."

^^^^ My god they are still bringing up that Shaq foul replay thing. Even Atlanta fans wanted those scorekeepers fired for incompetence. You got the replay, let it go.

this is pretty similar to win Al Horford taunted paul pierce and the media spetn the next two days saying how pierce was going to drop 50 pts the next game

Return to Atlanta Hawks
