Possibly Beasley got more votes because more coaches think he's a better player than Love.

Clearly rebounding isn't popular amongst coaches then.

Beasley was always going to gain more attention being a top 3 draft pick, playing for a higher market team with the likes of D-wade. I don't think having better teammates makes him a more valuable player, it just makes him more 'voter friendly' than a player with FAIRLY similar stats on a 24 win team.

MIA board seems a little surprised Beasley made it, and a couple defended Love.

In fact, in a few of the boards I've visited, Kevin Love's name keeps popping up as having a case for being on the team, from impartial fans.

I would have put Love on as well, but I can't be too mad he didn't get there. Derrick Rose clearly distinguished himself over everyone, but a case could be made for the next 6-7. I don't think there were five better rookies than Love.

I don't know - I think these are reasonable arguments for fan or even media voting, but I think Occam's Razor suggests that we accept that professional coaches know more about NBA players than the rest of us.
