So do we cheer Gregg Zaun for his first 3 respectable years at C or boo Gregg Zaun for an excruciating last 2?

Purcey needs to win for Richmond's sake. We can't keep trotting out guys like Richmond and Romero and putting pressure on them to be like Halladay.

i really do'nt see the need to boo him.. he was pretty classy, and enjoyed his time in Toronto.. he even plans on coming back to Sportsnet to be an analyst during the playoffs (assuming Baltimore doesn't make it)... he was also a leader on the club, and stood up for the team during Shea Hillenbrand's vendetta..

We see Purcey once and Burres zero times on the mound
By my very, very flawed logic, we take the series 2 - 1

Hopefully I can go to the Sunday matinee.

I'm really hoping we can tee off on the O's mediocre staff.

Losing three in KC was a bit tough, and we'll see how this team responds to their first real adversity with this 5-game homestand.

All of the years were respectable.

Let's see if we can get back to our winning ways. Great start so far!

But losing 3 out of 4 to the Royals stings a bit.

Well, all good things, right? The series against KC was ugly but this is an excellent bounce-back opportunity.

I'll be at Sundays game in this series with a couple of buddies that are back home from school. I might also go to todays game considering Doc is pitching, but I have a huge paper to finish...baseball or school, hmmm...

Haha anyways, despite losing 3 of 4 to the Royals, we're still technically in first place. We need to win this series, however, to at least be tops in the wild card race. It's early...but these wins count just as much as those in September.

Jordan Bastian on his Twitter said that Cecil, Robert Ray, and Brian Wolfe have been called up. Purcey, Burres, and Bullington have been sent down to AAA.

So Purcey is obviously not going Saturday anymore.

Purcey needs the time away from the majors (and we need him to take that time, just like we need Burres to do the same). Hopefully, we'll get Romero back soon and we can get back on track.

David Purcey-S- Blue Jays

Blue Jays optioned LHP David Purcey to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Looks like the Blue Jays didn't like his home run difficulties Thursday night. LHP Brett Cecil was called up to take Purcey's spot on the roster. Cecil should make his first start with Toronto on Tuesday.

8th row behind the plate to watch the Doc go to work! Hopefully it's a good crowd.

Be constantly talking on your cell phone and waving at the centre field camera.... and we'll look for ya. :D

Seriously though, I'm jealous.
