Ron Artest was back-pedaling Thursday faster than a circus performer on a unicycle. Suddenly, he doesn’t know if Portland’s Brandon Roy is the best player he has ever played.

“I don’t know; that was yesterday,” Artest said. “This is a new day. I feel I’m the best, so this is a new day.
