Why!? We better not be appointing someone from inside!

A little birdie tells me the teddy bear from the draft lottery last year will be the new GM. Word is Taylor wanted someone who was similar to McHale and considering they both like the outdoors, Teddy Bear was a no-brainer.
My Kobe Bryant website I designed myself: http://personal.stthomas.edu/dnnguyen/kb24.

Keep hating on Hoiberg, but it would be the death of the Franchise if Kahn was hired. If you thought McHale was bad...

I don't hate Hoiberg I just want someone that has been there and helped to bring a franchise up before. I don't know much about Kahn but I could see myself screaming his name in agony. I'll take your word for it that hiring him would be a bad thing.

What's wrong with Kahn? His history as the Pacers GM seems pretty good. Give me the inside info!

I'm quietly hoping for Stack to remain GM. I may be the only one.

He never made basketball decisions for the Pacers. He's a business guy. Basically think of a guy with no basketball background who wants to run things as cheaply as possible.

I could write a book on how it would be a bad move. But every person in the know that I have talked to was shocked that he would even be considered.

Better names are available than Kahn and the others. Denver's GM is from Fort Wayne, IN and is a Midwest native; Wolves could get him...

What's this about then?
Bizball: During your time as GM of the Pacers, who was the best player you felt you acquired, either through trades, or the draft?

Kahn: I was most proud of draft-night deals I engineered for Jeff Foster and Jamaal Tinsley, two players who remain with the team today, not because they were our best players but because of the pressure surrounding both deals.

http://www.bizofbasketball.com/index.ph ... om_content

Not that those deals are really anything to be proud of.

I think Rev might be on to something in thinking its Chris Grant.

I believe he engineered the trade by talking to the other teams and calling the agents. But identifying the players? No.

Cool.

Is Chapman a candidate?

Kahn will come here and inject tiny worms into our brains.

Of course by worms i mean bad contracts and horrible players, and by brains i mean team.

$100 says that the first thing Kahn would do as our GM would be to trade for Kirk Hinrich and make his life a miserable hell.

lindsay situation has a lot of theories but is a mess. If I had to guess it would be someone from Cle/Hou but nothing confirmed about them interviewing. Pfund or Kahn would be at a serious disadvantage in the draft.

How does someone without a prime GM position already not want the wolves job? If the McHale years have taught us anything, the job security of the position is unreal, and the owner will spend money.
