Interesting...the top picks are pretty much the same, but Budinger at 18 and Maynor at 28 for us?...Curry slips to 20, just after Darren Collison. Mullens at 24, Blair at 25, Teague at 8...

Holiday at 6 is surprising to me. I don't think he'll be drafted that high but you never know I guess. I think I agree with Harden at 6 but I'd either take Curry or Mullens at 18 and then Maynor at 28 sounds ok with me.

Now I got my prospects more scouted.

Here's my new draft board:

#5:Derozan/Harden

Mia pick: Nick Calathas...He's my new fav pg prospect besides Rubio...He is compared to Kirk Hinrich...w/e I just like his size (he could gaurd the sg spot when Foye is out there at SG.) He is calm, collected and not afraid to take the big shot. Love it.

Nick might be one of my least fav guards in the draft.

In the scenario of this draft. We would have our choice of Curry/Maynor at the Mia pick. I would lean to Curry, but I doubt he slips past 15.

BPA is nice at bos, maybe Varnado as a defensive prospect? I know he is a 4, but he could take the smith role.

Mullens slipping to 24 is nuts. We could potentially have a harden/curry/mullens draft?

I have gone very cold on Curry. I would only take him with the Boston pick. On the other hand I really, really like Calathes, but perhaps just not for our team. His passing is not far off from Rubio's. I'm serious.

Calathes is no where near the pg prospect Rubio is. He does have nice height and makes good passes, but not in Rubio's league. I even consider Curry a better pg than Calathes due to his shooting and his athletic ability. Curry seems less TO prone also.

Nick would fit nice with Foye, he has nice height, he is a true PG, but I have concerns that his lack of athletic ability will really hurt him from being an effective starter at the NBA level. He could be a Marko Jaric type player with a better shot but less athletic ability.

For a good shooter he is a poor FT shooter. I like his handles, and his BBIQ I just worry that those things might not translate to the NBA.

I tend to not like guards that struggle with defense. Other than that the Calderon comparison is probably very accurate and I could learn to love him with a later pick. Not my first choice, but if a good front office sees some potential I could understand why.

I seem a little harsh. I think he could be a good rotation player, but in drafting him I am picturing a back-up, not a starter. The only way he is a starter is if Foye becomes Wade and we need a bigger pg next to him. SnP is a big fan of him and I tend to respect his opinion, so I will hold judgment for now. I just like Holiday/Lawson/Curry much more than him.

I would be much more happy with this draft if we could swing it.

#5- Hasheem Thabeet

Still think his shotblocking and size would be the perfect 3rd big in our rotation. It allows us to go Offensive, defensive or rounded at the 4/5 spot.

#18- Eric Maynor

Solid point guard who should be able to come in and take the starting role away from telfair in less then 20 games.

#28- Marcus Thornton

The game changing scorer we need to come off the bench. This guy could be what Rashad McCants should be (a jason terry lite)

#45 and #47- Vladimir Dasic and Nando De Colo

With three rookies allready in the first round, our two second round picks should be used on prospects we can stash away overseas for 2-3 seasons. BOth of thee uys have the potential to be NBA roleplayers in the future.

Instead of Thornton, why not just use Foye in the Terry role he seems to be designed for?

hey guys Im a celtics fan and was just wondering if the twolves said anything about trading one of their 2 picks outside the lottery? C's dont have a first rounder and if they look to trade for one I would think Minny would be one of the teams they talk to.

Being that MN owns the C's pick.

Without a front office I am not sure there is a plan right now. But logic would dictate that the wolves would likely exchange the C's pick this year for the C's pick next year.

Wolves have caught enough guff in the KG/Jefferson trade, last thing they need to do is trade the Celtics draft pick back to them unless its for a steal like Rev's trade

I didn't say I liked Calathas better than Rubio. Not even close. I think he has a knack for hitting the big shot though and we could use some guys who are clutch.

Right now I would say Calathas had one of the worst supporting casts. Kinda like how DeAndre Jordan had no guards so the other teams could collapse on him. Same is true of Calathas, cept switch the positions. I think if he gets some talent behind him he'd improve a lot.

But he is unathletic for a college pg, how will he do in the NBA? He is a poor-poor-poor man Hinrich w/o the defense. Maybe a less developed Jarrett Jack. (*am I allowed to compare white players to black ones?)

No. Your options are Hinrich, Nash, Blake, and 50% of Mike Bibby.

I tend to think Calathes is a cross between Portland's point guards Blake and Rodriguez.

I didn't know it was possible to be worse at defense than Steve Nash
