Bulls Fan here. The Bulls could use some beef inside after their struggle w/ Perkins, and Big Baby from Boston. How do you feel about a trading Al Jefferson for Luol Deng and or Kirk Hinrich, and or our 1st rd draft pick #15?

I guess that's a no deal then. What if the Bulls threw in a puke bag would that work?

We absorb way too much salary in that deal not to mention the bulls get the best player. At this point in the rebuilding process we are looking for quality over quantity. We have a buttload of guys who are decent off the bench guys or role-players but not very many quality starters.

I think I'd trade Griffin out of the three guys listed but I'd be very tempted to keep all three. Especially because Al is injured so he wouldn't be rushed or anything to come back.

Bulls can't really offer much to Minnasota. Derrick Rose won't be moved, and you have Randy Foye unless you want to swap Gordon for Foye which is doubtful. I guess the Bulls could offer

Hinrich + Salmons or Deng + Noah or Tyrus + 2 1st Rd Picks for Miller + Cardinal + Griffin. End Result

Hinrich
Foye
Salmons or Deng
Love
Jefferson

Tyrus or Noah off the bench.

Not even close. First off Blake Griffin is by far the best player (not to mention youngest) in that deal. Second, not a snowball's chance in hell we package Miller and Cardinal with him for a bunch of bloated contracts. Those expirings of Miller an Cardinal are gold right now, not to mention Miller is pretty good in his own right.
Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

Big3 that is exactly why I said the Bulls can't offer Minnasota what they need.

I'd trade Griffin to the Wolves for Butler + Haywood.

You think they would do:

Miller
Foye
Smith
Griffin
Uta 1st

for

Butler
Haywood
Nick Young

I'm leaning towards no, but imagine if we could get Hinrich also for Cardinal + rights to peks(Trying to sweeten the deal here.)

Wiz can run with this:

Arenas/James
Stevenson/Foye
Miller
Jamison/Griffin(Bring him slow of making him a starter
Thomas/Mcgee

We run with

Hinrich/bassy/Holiday(Groom him) <-Miami pick
Young/Brewer
Butler/Gomes
Jefferson/Love
Haywood/Jefferson/Mullens <- Boston if he falls

I love the defense at the most important positions(1 + 5) and the scoring punch from Butler+Foye+Jefferson would be amazing.

PS - I do too much hypothetical ****, sorry for that.

+ I know that I have an unhealthy obsession with Kirk Hinrich, but I honestly think he can make this team in contention for the playoffs IF we are a healthy team.

Butler is 29, Haywood will be 30 a month into to next season. Not to mention that seems like way too much to give up. We're not only trading Griffin but Foye, Miller, and a first. No way.

"Should" they do it? Maybe. "would" they do it? No.

As I understand it, Abe Pollin spent a lot of coin last year to bring back team-leader Antawn Jamison, and was willing to go over the lux this year expecting that he has a contender. Because of injuries, he wasn't even close. However, he supposedly believes that this team is going to do something, and they are more likely to trade the pick to add a good vet, then rebuild with the intriguing youth that they've developed. Haywood is a bit of a defensive anchor as well, and with his good contract, he'd be tough for WAS to trade either way.

Lastly, I always have some skepticism when fans post that they think their owner will add talent regardless of whether they go over the lux, since historically the lux has been such an effective tool for establishing some financial parity. Glen Taylor's richer than most owners, but he's only went over the lux once, because some businessmen simply don't want to pay double for that last guy. Pollin is no exception, and this year would be the first he ever crossed the lux. WAS fans say he's getting old and unwell, so that he might not care about money as long as he can get a ring. Maybe, but we didn't see that with Carl Pohlad.
