Kobe Day to Day

Post#1 » by A-Train » Mon May 4, 2009 12:26 am

Kobe Bryant missed practice today because of a sore throat and is considered day to day, a team spokesman said.

Knowing Bryant's threshold for pain and discomfort, it would be surprising only if he didn't play Monday in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against Houston.

Bryant averaged 27.4 points, 5.6 assists and five rebounds in the first round against Utah.

no biggie right? if he can play through a dislocated finger he could play through a soar throat.

hope its nothing serious and it escalates to a flu or something

sore throat doesnt equate to swine flu

if anything, any type of flu shouldve given him a fever, cold sweats, sneezing, coughing symptoms as well

No way Kobe Bryant is missing a playoff game because of illness.

Last game against the Cavs, he was very ill with the flu, he even got an IV during half time. This guy will play through a anything.

wow that's nothing for kobe. A sick kobe with a fever, flu and puking before the game and didn't eat anything for almost 2 days shut down lebron james. i believe lebron was like 5-23 that game and lakers won without Bynum. A sore throat is nothing for kobe, he will drop 30 points 7 rebound and 8 assists in 33 mins on Monday.

H1N1 is an influenza virus, and yes it does cause sore-throat, as well as fever, chills, and headache.
he should get a formalin or beta propiolactone vaccination asap, and he'll be good to go.

If lakers can win at home with kobe not 100%... especially a double digit win... then it should make it pretty convincing lakers will win.

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

It's nothing for Kobe but I'm a little worried about his illness that he might be not 100% and might be quiet tonight.

Really good or really bad. He could be sick and try and just pass and be worn out by the D or he could remember MJ getting 50 plus with the flu and Kobe could go for 60.
I hope it's the latter.

I think it'll just fuel his desire to play harder and more focused. For some reason... when a problem pops up.. he tends to play awesome and more focus for us.. hehe

But surely, i hope he'll feel better and not over exert himself too much.. this is only the 2nd round..
