So you are saying they shouldn't have given the Bulls the point -- even though it was OBVIOUSLY a 3-pointer? The problem is that they didn't make the correction at the first timeout after the shot. Why they waited until the 4th quarter is unclear.
They had to make the correction. It was a 3-pointer and had to be credited as such.
And I understand they have since changed the rule about 6 men on the floor...

The refs got it right in the end that's what matters. You can't possibly argue that the Bulls did not deserve that point.

people just love to complain about everything. even after the series is done and over (win by 10 none the less) people complain about something stupid. . . .

Damn, the Bulls series is over and done and you're still here? Too bad....
Anyway it's not that it wasn't the right call, it was...but they made the change TWO HOURS LATER (in real time)...**** ridiculous. Why were they *still* thinking about it 2 quarters later? *THAT* is what is irksome...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Some of you are missing the point here.
This isn't a case where the refs made a math error and simply fixed it later in the game.
The original shot was ruled a two-pointer (apparently due to a mistaken belief the shot was tipped.) The call was changed after review. NBA replay rules clearly state that any review must be conducted immediately:
In this case the bad call came in the first half and the score change came in the 4th quarter. Unquestionably this was not done in accordance with NBA rules. Somebody upstairs made up a new rule on the fly. Just as with the 6 men on the floor call, we deserve some explanation.
