That Ovechkin guy is pretty good. Good thing he's under contract for like a zillion years.

That was a great game. Hopefully the Caps can take a game in Pittsburgh as well.

How long before Ovechkin is officially the greatest athlete in the history of DC sports? He's not there yet, but he's well on his way.

You have to respect an athlete of that caliber (unless he's LeBron James who tries to cheat a system that he already controls). Amazing performance by Crosby and one hell of a rivalry we have here.

Yeah...I just can't see the Caps losing 4 of 5. They will probably win 2 of 3 in Pittsburgh.

I don't know, with all of the whining Crosby does he's not that different from King Crab!

Evgeni Malkin is a certified bum. Knew the guy wouldn't show up when his team really needed him to.

I'm not a hockey guy, but I'm in awe of how good an offensive player Crosby is - with his tremendous speed, puck handling, and toughness around the net. Surprised that Malkin seems to have been a non-factor in the first 2 games. This series is making a hockey fan out of me. Just tremendous hockey and not much of the chippy stuff you usually see.

Not only did he not show up, he took an absolutely crucial, stupid, pivotal penalty that turned the game and possibly the series. You were right on.

How many miracle saves he did last night? We need to say: Thank you Simeon Varlamov, you're saving the Caps!

Lots of potential jinxes in this thread. Know your history lads!

All Washington has done so far is do what they were supposed to, win their home games.

The pressure will be on Washington to hold of Pittsburgh in game 3, and it's only a matter of time before some of the guys around Crosby show up.

What could work in our favor is the injury to Letang, and if there's any justice in the NHL, a game 3 suspension for Kunitz for the vicious cross check to the neck of Varly.

Cautiously optimistic here, but damn, some of you guys scare me.
