No doubt. I'm not scared of this Orlando team. We just need to execute. C's by 10+ in Game 2.

i dont know what to make of bark's comments that we have the momentum going to gm 2. he isnt that analytical is he. that we now know how to play vs the Orl defense based on the way we played in the 2nd half?

man we tie it up all the orl fans gonna say their team stole one and took home court away. if we would won tonite and gm 2 and gone up 2-0, it's " boston did what they had to do, protect home court..." *sigh* hmm... lose-lose.....oh well .... that's the way it goes ....

Maybe you should try a Guaransheed, that always seems to work against the Magic. I'm pretty sure you guys will win game 2, but I'm happy stealing one away from you guys in the Garden. It won't be easy because the Magic are now confident in themselves winning in your house. Should be interesting with what intensity the Celtics come out with in Game 2, the Magic should come out with no fear.

I think these playoffs taught us nothing is guaranteed. We have the ability to play so bad that we can lose any game. If we don`t bring the right mentality in game 2 we will lose again...

I would be very surprised if they lose game 2. If they do, then I would be very surprised if the Magic lose the series, so it's obviously a critical game.

You do realize at one point your team was down by 28pts. It's very difficult to have enough gas in the tank to keep coming back from huge deficits.

Why would they let themselves be down 28pts again?

Not sure what your point is ... :-?

The Celtics were down 28 and came back within three -- all this with a stretch in the fourth quarter (8 minutes?) where Boston's legs were so tired they couldn't convert on a half-dozen straight possessions.

With fresher legs the Celtics win this going away. There's no more reason for them to be worried about losing homecourt to Orlando than they were when they lost it to Chicago. If anything, last night might get them back on the right defensive track -- if they play that way for 6 more games they win this series.

^Agreed...once the C's got it down to single digits they squandered numerous opportunities, especially after they got some defensive stops, to score more. That won't happen again in game 2, nor will the Tragic's hot shooting...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Well I wouldnt call this a Rasheed guarantee because Im already viewing this series as 1-1 also, if we somehow lose this series will be over in 4 or 5.

I think Turkoglu will shoot a little better though, he looked a little off in game 1. Pietrus looks like this series Hinrich who gets open 3s

Boston hasnt figured out Orlandos offense. They blew big leads against the 6ers too, also around 30 points. They do it all the time they just have to remedy it. Our defense is better than what we have been given crdit for and the talk that JJ Reddick is useless is rediculous. The guy gave us energy.
My 2 cents is worth 5 cents.

^Nice spelling and grammar, dude! 8-)

I think if we attack and stop settling for jumpshots, we will win handily.

You realize you went to a game 7 with a #7 seed. Your talking like its Boston giving the game away. Its Orlando getting out to these 25 and 30 point leads agaisnt you and the 6ers. Their problem is giving it back. If you say you got back in the gme then you have to say the 6ers did too because the same phenomenon is happening. If thats the case then your just equivalent to a 6 seeded team just barely etching out a 7 seed.

We are short a good guard but we really need to resolve why we go cold in these later 3 rd quarter stretches. Ther eis definitely a pattern there and it has nothng t do with who the magic play.
My 2 cents is worth 5 cents.

ehhhh....orlando is better then you all are giving them credit for. Nobody for orlando had a particularly good offensive game except Pietrus. At some point in this series Perkins is going to get in foul trouble and when he does the celtics are going to be forced to double the post...which could spell trouble. Anyway I'm of the opinion that the comeback means a lot less then the outcome of the game. This is the NBA, everybody makes runs. Especially at home in game 1 of the semifinals.

I love how fan's say crap like it WON'T happen again, blah blah blah, bottom line is this is sports. NEITHER fan base knows what is going to happen. BOTH teams played extremely good and extremely bad in game one.

Magic fan here:

If Boston were to lose this game, it is not rational to imagine a series comeback. Clearly all the pressure is on Boston to win. The problem for Orlando is that the Magic do very poorly in "stress-free" games. All season long, the Magic would do things like beat the Lakers on the road and then lose to Charlotte at home. Look at the Philly series, Orlando did not win the "easy" games and made everything very difficult for their team.

I look for Boston to win game 2 (not that that is my hope). Boston found a winning formula: trap on defense and press on offense. Look for more Boston-octane in game 2. I fear the magic will not respond well to this obvious strategy.

It can happen, thats all he said.

You just cant write this chance off. Orlando for me is the better team in this series.
If you can say the Celtics wont play that bad again, you aswell could say the Magic wont play that bad again like they did in the last ~18 Minutes.
Both teams played terrible basketball for a stretch, and Orlando won.
