Boozer would obviously help scoring (a lot) but I've never been a fan of his, he's kind of a black hole and he flat out doesn't care on defense.

Boozer has made his career by being a hustler. He hustles on D and plays D. I don't know what give you the impression Boozer is not a good defender but I can tell you know your off. Rethink this one.
Okur is a bad defender but Crash is not better then AK on D. How can you even say that and keep a straight face? When you think of the top defenders in the league AK is always in the conversation because he is a shotblocking freak. Wallace is not as good as him.

As a matter of fact AK's blocks make up for Mek's and Wallace's combined.

Boozer is a supstanial upgrade over Diaw and Okur and EO50 are not that far off.

It's not a trade that i would go crazy for but I would pull the trigger.

Yeah, we definitely wouldn't be a four seed ...

OT: I still can't believe Williams stole first-team all rookie from Felton.

Yea, you obviously can't like Felton if you claim that someone is better than him at something...

I'm totally indifferent to Felton. If he stays for a reasonable deal, great. If he wants too much money and leaves, fine. He has improved his defense over his NBA career, but what else? He might become a top 10 pg in the league once Kidd and Nash retire, but whatever, I guess I'm just full of hate.

I thought the top 10 pg dig was pretty funny too.

Kirlilenko vs. Wallace is a matter of taste really, I prefer Crash, but to each his own....

As for Boozer, don't take my word for it, read the Jazz Forum.

Here's the first thread I found about Boozer:

http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=901685

To quote:

"him(Boozer) and Okur are weak in deffense"
"I am so glad he wants to still opt out. I love it!"
"you can tell by his body language that he just doesn't care defensively."
"I admit that he was horrid after coming back from the injury, particularly on defense where he was as bad a player on that end as any other player in the league."

That last one was the guy DEFENDING him, and he called him as bad as anyone in the NBA! I don't watch every Jazz game, but these guys do, and they think that Boozer sucks defensively.

82games supports the idea that Boozer is an absolute GARBAGE defender. Infact, by the numbers, the man he has been matched up with has been more effective than him.

Boozer is definitely a better rebounder than Diaw, but Diaw is the better defender. His versatility is special.

Boozer is an allstar for a reason. Diaw is not for a reason.
Boozer normally would get close to 15 million a year. Diaw would get about 10.
Ask anybody not in a Charlotte board and ask who is better Diaw or Boozer and they will tell you.

Jazz fans aren't thinking clearly. Boozer opting out is bad for Utah. Now I would rather have Paul Millsap and that is why they probably want him opting out they should sign and trade Boozer for a sg. Why let him go for nothing? Lets say they get a star sg it would be the first since well Jeff Hornasek who was more of a role player. They would have a 3 headed monster plus AK and Okur.

Dex, you're not considering the way transactions work. Boozer and Diaw don't have equal salaries, Kirilenko and Wallace don't have equal salaries, you can't just say "OMG YOU GUYS ARE SO STUPID EVERYONE IN THE NBA DOES THAT TRADE". If you're talking about Player for player, no contracts involved do you make the swap, that's one thing, but it is YOUR responsibility as a poster to make that caveat, because the rest of us don't think that way unless it's specified because we've had to deal with Salary cap rules since day 1.
