Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

Just because someone is a guard, doesn't mean they should only take jumpshots. That's stupid.

I don't think Miles' point was that guards should ONLY take jumpshots, in fact i don't remember ever seeing him put that. His point was that Kobe is a guard and should be taking jumpshots unlike Bynum, who we all know is NOT a jumpshooter.

I agree with Miles. Had the role players made their shots, had Bynum really taken it to Yao, and had we not had so much time off, i'm sure this would be a Lakers win. we played EXTREMELY poorly and yet we only lost by 10!!! Most of that deficit was increased at the very end through desperate attempts to come back.

Kobe is NOT to blame for this loss. Sure he missed jumpshots however, a good chunk were bailouts. It's hard not to take the ball into your own hands when everyone on ur team is having a dissmal shooting performance.

Our biggest enemy in Game 1 was TIME! All the Lakers looked very rusty and badly out of rhythm. Brown seemed a step slower than usual, constantly missed open jumpers and Odom missing 5/6 free throws were all clear signs of rust and a lack of rhythm IMO.

I also think Bynum is only a small part of our problem on offense. Bynum has been trying to push himself more and more as the games came and went in Utah, however, with 6 days off, the intensity he goes through playing in games consistently dumbs down, and so i'm sure he regressed a bit in Game 1 due to a lack of confidence in his knee from the 6 days off. I don't know if this makes sense, but in a nutshell, over the 6 days, he lost his confidence in his knee because he wasn't pushing it hard consistently like in Utah. Practice and Playing the actual game are VERY different intensities as we all know. Bynum will come back strong in Game 2, i got a gut feeling...

Lakers WILL come back in Game 2, Houston just caught us rusty and rhythm-less and even then we only lost by 10 so i'm confident we'll come back strong! :lift:
2014: Randle / Clarkson
2015: Russell / Nance
2016: Ingram / Zubac
2017: Top 3 Pick? Fultz, Ball or Bust

Oh, I thought we were still putting words in people's mouths (or posts). Cause nobody ever said Kobe should drive EVERY time.
