Snakeeyes.............. What up yeghbar???
When you say why are they counting us out?????? YOU mean who Laker fans or other fans, cause if its other fans they want to see our downfall and they want us to fail, but now if your talking about Lakers fans then they arent really loyal fans since you never lose hope on your team.

As far as the others, like pasrska hyes say............... Keleris or tanjeris let them think what they want to think.

Right Tommy???? But of Beldigs.....

Because we are too much Kobe.. Rest of the team has history of choking.. No dribble penetration capablity other than Kobe..

We are a one trick pony.. thats why we lost the finals last year when our golden pony was being well defended and thats why we are concerned now..

slifersd wrote:I don't think anybody in their right mind is counting Lakers out of this serie, but as far as the championship is concerned, they have reasons to no longer favor the Lakers. In this playoffs, virtually every other team except maybe Atlanta, Boston and Dallas are playing at a higher level than they did in the regular season. Denver is playing the best basketball I have ever seen them play, and Cleaveland seems unstoppable. On the other hand, we keep blowing big leads, show a complete lack of effort and focus during games as if the championship trophy was already promised to us. The road to a championship does not start with a couple of games, wins or losses, but rather a continuous improvement process. We have regressed since the all star break and never got back to top form for whatever the reason.

I still believe we can beat the Rockets simply because we are the better team and I do not trust Yao to have his way against our twin towers every game like he did the otehr night. The problem, however, is that I do not see that sense of urgency this team should be dispalying in order to get back to their best. Without playing at their best, Lakers do not deserve to be the champion. Even if we do beat Rockets and then the Nuggets and get to the finals, we will still be the lesser team against Cleaveland because our heart is not in the right place. Unless some drastic changes occur after the loss Monday night, I do think the championship hope for this team is fading.

i see what you are saying but people have to take into account who the other teams are playing. i was discussing this with a friend. it seems like the lakers did the wrong thing for getting the one seed in the west. denver, cavs, nad orlando have all had an easier ride than we have imo.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

It's mostly non Lakers fans counting the Lakers out is simple, no team is hated more in basketball. Pouncing on a LAL loss is commonplace amongst haters.

Some diehard Laker fans, can barely watch, my dad comes to mind, he get's discusted when they don't play like he thinks they should and will write them off, that's a marter I believe.

Some real gm laker members such as Slickgreek has nearly already given up ;).

I do agree though, that we haven't played great ball in quite some time. And it's hard to turn it on.

I just hope that we can get some rhythm about ourselves. This team is stressful to watch. I know I shouldn't get too upset, but you are literally on an emotional roller coaster as a Laker fan.

It doesn't take much to compare the disconnected way we are playing even in our wins v/s how the other contender teams are playing in their games..

Not after tonight, I dont think anyone is counting the Lakers out. This series is going to be very physical from this point on. Game 2 definitly gave the momentum right back to the Lakers, because it shows the Rockets we arent going to let them have whatever they want.

Because they're turncoats, and don't know how to think for themselves.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
