Kobay found this and posted it on G.B props to him for the find, but I love the brake down of this so called elbow to the neck of Artest.

Good stuff! Too bad these facts will go unreported in the mainstream media.

espn's Chris Sheriden did claim that the Kobe elbow was into Artest's chest. Probably after he visited this site, though.

What I like about the breakdown is to show how much Artest was all over Kobe - including his own elbow to Kobe's head.

details details, i love it. Good read!. i hope the league reviews it as closely as what the article did. On a serious note.. nobody would have seen this unless cry-baby Ron went crazy. I wouldn't be surprise at the league watching Ron more closely now. He better keep his hands to himself hehe

Seeing this makes me breath a bit easier regarding a potential suspension, especially if Kobe actually did hit Ron in the chest (I still haven't seen a picture of that, but it seems to be floating around).

Kobe might have been the one who loaded up, but Artest clearly delivered several well-disguised little shots to the chin and side of the head that change the complexion of the whole encounter.

I'm sure the Lakers have highlighted anything Ron's done over the past two games and sent them over to the league office to present our side of the story.

EDIT -- just saw a front-view video clip on ESPN; Kobe's elbow very clearly hit Artest in the chest. Obviously not a suspension.

i love artest's rough style but sometimes he can be such a drama queen. he get's all up in kobe's face because he knows kobe's not a fighter, but he backed down like a trick when big ben was on his a$$ in the detroit brawl...seems to me artest isn't as crazy as he would have people to believe..
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

Hi folks,

Another clear video:
Image

I'm somewhat of a Kobe fan
But honestly he needs to play aggressive in a different way: driving more, scrapping for rebounds, talking up his players not talking down Battier.

I liked that he stepped up his game but he needs to leave those dirty tricks at home. This is the NBA playoffs not some boxing match. You never saw this behavior from guys like Magic, Bird, Jordan, etc.. Kobe says it's fun but honestly if it continues it will bring retaliation. Hate to see superstars be lost in the playoffs whether by injury or suspensions.

Image This started the whole thing, don't blame Kobe one bit and the apparently the league didn't either.

For every point you score on Kobe, he will score 2.
For every block you get on Kobe, he will get a block and a steal
Hit Kobe and he will hit you harder harder.

He wont stop until he wins 6 rings... after 2014 you can do whatever you want but until then this is his NBA.

That's just a play dirty moment for Kobe right there. Thanks for the post.

In a way I did feel disappointed that Kobe did that.... but damn, when I think how the Lakers bent over and spread their legs to the Celtics last year, I rescinded my prior thought.

If the Lakers have to get tough and dirty, thats what they gotta do to win the Championship. Look at the Celtics. They are a trash talking tough team and it started with Garnett. The Rockets got out of the first round for having one of the toughest and thuggish player in the league.

Like Kobe said, it's 80's style of basketball. Those days were fun to watch when the game got more physical.
