OT- Ovechkin is awesome

Post#1 » by Devilzsidewalk » Fri May 8, 2009 4:42 pm

Police say they’ve traced an Internet death threat made against Capitals star Alex Ovechkin to a 17-year-old boy, according to an Associated Press report on Thursday.

Pittsburgh Lt. Kevin Kraus says the boy lives in Chambersburg, which is about 125 miles east-southeast of Pittsburgh. Kraus says state police have talked to the boy, but no charges were immediately filed.

The boy’s name wasn’t released because he’s a juvenile.

The posting on a message board read, “I’m killing Ovechkin. I’ll go to jail. I don’t care anymore.”

hockey :rofl2:

this story is a good public service announcement that the internet is not anarchy, you can be hunted down, and if necessary, destroyed. Its clean up time for all you 17 year old punks. John Law just signed up for internet access and he's coming for you.

Well if our sports heroes did their jobs and won every game, we wouldn't have to stoop to such measures. Really, it's their own fault.

I might have to go back and edit about 5,000 posts

In fact, I should edit this thread title, I don't want the FBI to come knock at my door telling me I threatened a hockey player, I'd be so embarrassed if they thought I watched hockey.

I actually have a part time job acting as an internet bodyguard for Kevin McHale. Whenever anyone says something bad about them, I post really bad insults about the poster and make them feel bad about it. It's a busy job with Kev's reputation...

Although, in truth, right before the KG trade I posted a trade scenario here and on the trade forum involving Detroit and someone else, I think. Pretty much everyone loved it, so I emailed it to the Wolves front office, but forgot to delete the part about Kevin being hung outside Target Center if he screws up the Wolves again. Looking back, it was kind of dumb. :-) And probably could have gotten me in a little trouble.

well we're gathered here tonight, to have a fight
but i say man that's not all right
violence is not the solution it just adds to all of this pollution
let's talk about our problems one-on-one
then we can be friends and have some fun

(+1 million to anybody who got that)
