Sergio Rodriguez Thinks He's Going To Be Traded

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Sat May 9, 2009 1:42 am

Sergio Rodriguez figures to be traded this summer, or at least is hoping to be, as his role with the Blazers is unsatisfactory.
"Something has to happen," Rodriguez said. "I can't be here forever, with the same situation. I've been here three years and I'm in the same position I was in my first week. It's the same situation over and over and over." The situation he speaks of is of the backup variety, and it would be surprising to see him spend another year in Portland. Link

Have any of you seen anything you like from his game? Only trying to create some different topics, so it's not likely I'm suggesting we trade for him.

He's got talent, but the problem with him at this point is that he only has one year left on his contract. I'm afraid of someone going all "Udrih" on him.

You also have to be afraid that he could possibly go back to Europe if he feels disrespected in the free agent process.

alot of portland fans have said that his problem is that he plays very erratic. he'll make a great play and then throw the ball away the next play. he also is best suited for a high-tempo system. i could see phoenix going crazy for him. we would probably have to get him in a trade for bibby or marvin. i don't think it's worth it.
