FACTS

The Chicago Bears finished last season with the best record in the NFC, but lost in the Super Bowl.

The San Diego Chargers had the NFL's top overall record last year, but fell in the AFC divisional playoffs.

Led by a powerful defense, the Bears advanced to their first Super Bowl since 1986.

The Chargers won their final 10 games to finish 14-2 and capture their second AFC West title in three years.

The Chargers led the NFL with 492 points last season, averaging an NFL-high 30.8 point.

The reigning league MVP LaDainian Tomlinson set NFL records with 31 touchdowns - 28 rushing - and 186 points, and won his first league rushing title with 1,815 yards.

Most of the country is getting this game anyways but yeah, I guess ESPN finds Arizona/San Francisco a better game than this one or maybe FOX bought rights to this game since it is such a great matchup.

Great to have the win, sad to watch LT struggle(even though two touchdowns were produced by him, it wasn't a great game for him at all). Oh well, a win is a win.

Yeah Weddle played great. He's making an impact as a rookie. I like this guy a lot. He's going to be a really good player for us. Definitely worth all those draft picks we gave up to get him.

Can't believe how dead this board is. I just went to the Bears' board and their game thread was 40+ pages. We need to pump some life into this board because this is embarrassing. :oops:

. Especially for such a great team like the Chargers.

I'm really happy to see that Weddle is doing well. This is a great team for him to be on and not too far from home. I remember telling people about this guy for the past 6 years or so and it's just awesome to see him doing it big in the NFL.

grrrrreaaaatttt!!!!!

i had time to watch almost all of the 1st qtr and was kind of disappointed because i was really expecting more from the chargers. but then you think about the bears D and the game was going to be pretty tight.

then while i was eating i found out the cargers had won and that once again LT was the man of the game. he really didn't have a spectacular game, but as always he is involved in the outcome of the game.

good to be 1-0.
