I stand corrected Houston has stooped to the same level as Orlando, they've "Beat L.A." t-shirts up now. Wow. What a fad.

Whatever. Magic fans are funny trolls. You've your own board and you choose to pollute the Boston board. What? No one listens to you among your own fans. Lol.

I thought the "Beat Boston" shirts were an ironic twist to the "Beat L.A." shirts...

They are, but the issue at hand is when a scrub-@ss, johnny-come-lately team who doesn't have anything resembling a rivalry of any sort is printing them up.

It's just a cute/sad/pathetic/lame/awww,you think you matter/wow, really? kind of scenario

but to each his own.....I mean think about it, if there were no lame people on this planet who bought into this kind of stuff, then who would the lame people really be? Hmmmm..... :-? deep thoughts......

for some reason it's okay for Beat LA but not Beat Boston. lol. what a joke.

Hey, if you've an issue with me, go back to your own board. It's as simple as that. Don't get mad at me because your basketball franchise is charging you for a generic t-shirt. If you want to buy that crap, be my guess. But, don't come on this board and run your mouth like you're welcome here. You aren't... What have you contributed to this thread other than to contradict what the topic is? Exactly. Get lost... You troll. I mean do you even know what a rivalry means? Oh, you wouldn't know anything about that because the Magic and Celtics don't have a rivalry despite your biggest hope. Do you see Houston printing out lame t-shirts to their fans saying to beat the Lakers? No. Get a clue Orlando... Learn what it means to respect your opponent.

LOL...dude your original post was dumb. You cant have beat boston shirts because the history isn't there?? Somehow that shows no respect?? it's okay for Boston and LA because it's a rivalry but how dare magic fans wear a beat Boston shirt because they have no right to wear that. Stupid man. You're not the only team in the league. Maybe your team should start worrying about beating Orlando.

i dont see whats wrong with the shirt. its just like fans chanting it in the game..is that classless? we are playing in the playoffs with the intention of beating the opponent. I didn't think a fan would get upset that another team is showing support for their own team.

Dude, in all fairness I think you have to understand the context, the Magic are not the first team that has come out of nowhere to have a little scrap with a Boston team, like it or not we have a lot of experience being on top, being hated, and being the big target for every team that comes out of the woodwork every year, regardless of the sport (and of course I'm only referring to the past 8-10 years or so, obviously the 10-15 years prior to that we were the perennial losers, but that's a different chapter).

The point is, we don't think much of it while other fans have often made a huge deal about how much they hate us and how they are the new hotness, as they (and by they, I'm referring to their fanbases) often come up with some kind of tactics to taunt us. We usually respond like, "who the f' are you, anyway?" So it's not just you. It's all of you, always trying to take your shots at Boston. This is very, very old hat by now (for us, at least). Don't think anything of it. We just don't really respect anybody that tries in any shape or form to act like they are a rival of our main teams besides the Lakers or Yankees, and yes, much of this is based on our storied and intertwined histories. We're Boston. We're elitest snobs. You don't know this?

Lol @ Orlando trying to pass a generic, cafepress looking shirt as a $20 quality tee. I haven't fallen under your spells just yet.

What was wrong with simply making a t-shirt that read, "Win Magic" or "Go Magic?" Is that not showing support for your team? You can support your team without undermining your opponent.

No, there shouldn't be anything wrong with fans chanting, "Beat (insert team)." But, if you need to advertise it on a t-shirt. Doesn't that defeat the point?

KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?

This is a thread over someone printing off and selling a t-shirt for a series? Youve got to be kidding. Are you still snowed in up there with nothing better to do or what?
My 2 cents is worth 5 cents.

^ Their marketing strategy is all wrong. They should be offering free next-day air with those shirts. Who's gonna buy one and wait 7-10 days for it to arrive? The series will be over by then. And I doubt the impulse "BEAT L.A." buyers are picking these shirts up for next season.

Celtics have Beat LA, if other teams want to do it, they can. End of thread.
