Odom and kobe

Post#1 » by magic1fan » Sat May 9, 2009 9:59 pm

these two guys have been huge for us this series. first with odom does anyone else sometimes get the feeling that odom could get 10-15 bards a game if we wanted to? he might be the most underrated rebounder in the league imo. now with kobe, does anyone else notice how well kobe defends bigger guys. he gives up so much weight but i have never seen anyone defend lebron and artest better than kobe.

odom does get 10-15 rebounds a game

in 5 of the 8 playoffs games he has rebounding totals of 13, 11, 15, 15, 14. in the 3 games he didn't get double digits, he didn't start.

Lamar is a stud on the boards. It's why I can't imagine a team without Lamar next year. He fills in so many holes in our team, he's the glue. Keep our eye on the prize and we won't have to worry about un-gluing the Lakeshow.

i agree i can't imagine a laker team without odom either. i know he makes a few bone headed plays but the guy is a warrior and one of the most underrated guys in the game.

KEEP LO before resigning a ARIZA and Brown

I love those guys but the Laker role players seem to always step up before a contract year

Sasha Luke

They got paid
ITS TOO EASY TO GET EXCITED ABOUT A GUY WHEN THE EXPECTATIONS ARE LOWER AND HE IS BREAKING OUT. LO IS PROVEN. IF ARIZA AND LO'S EXPECTATIONS WERE SWITCHED LO WOULD BE HAVING A FAR BETTER BREAKOUT SEASON. WE EXPECT THE WORLD OF LO AND HE DELIVERS 90% OF THAT.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

I wish Kobe and Odom had a better ability to run the pick-and-roll together that would be outright devastating.

Against the Cavs (first the Nuggets I know), I would love to see us bastardize the Cavaliers in the pick-and-roll with Farmar and Kobe using Odom-Gasol against the Cavaliers large but slow front.

Varejao can't keep up that pick-and-roll with Odom there. Ilgauskas can't keep up with Gasol. If Farmar is running it it's even better because they'll have to pay attention to Kobe.
