Game 3: Cleveland @ Atlanta

Game-Time Decisions:

Key game due to the injuries, but it's at home, so hopefully the fans show some love to the home team, and keep the Lebron love affair to a minimum. At this point I fully expect Al Horford to play Saturday and we need Joe Johnson to find that warrior inside. This game is about heart and giving it every single thing you have. This team needs to unite together and if they want badly enough it's time to fight for it.

Bad time for all these injuries, going into a crucial game like this. 3-0 and it'll be tough to avoid a sweep. Sigh.

A healthy atlanta team on its day could always push cleveland to a tough game, always. This is screwed up. :(

Love how Bibby is playing though.

This has been a perfect storm for us to get embarrased. We didnt have much of a chance when the series started but all these injuries have really made us look bad on national TV. Its sad but next year I hope to see drastic changes. Joe Johnson is doubtful.

I'll be at the game again. Trying to enjoy my prime seat for the last few times (job uncertainty made renewal unwise/unaffordable). At this point with all the injuries, I'll be grading on a curve. I just want the Hawks that can play to play hard and smart and do us proud. They do that and I'll walk away happy regardless of the final score.

About to leave for the game and spend some time at the block party. I just hope we come to fight and give it everything we have.

Cleveland favored to win by 8.5 points.

No more of Mo Evans getting the other teams best player. Obviously Wade and Lebron are going to get their points but they just shoot right past him like he isn't even there.

I am confused by that timeout. If we waited until after the free throws couldn't we have advanced the ball to half court? That should have produced a better shot. By taking it after the first shot he only got to change personnel. Every point counts.

Idiotic decision by Zaza...who argues that hard over a correct call? You also gave them 2 points by failing to secure a rebound the previous possession.

I WONDER if well ever learn how to rebound. We were just up by 1. THis team puzzles me so much.

Zaza got mad the same reason the entire team's mad: the Cavs are being allowed to play rough (watch the hand-checking and holding on their part) while we can't even touch them. Woodson said the same thing a minute ago when they stuck the camera in his face.

No, we're not better than the Cavs, but this is cheating on the part of the NBA. LeBron vs. Kobe. yay.

Zaza's play was an obvious blocking foul...he had both feet inside the circle. The game has been officiated fairly for the most part. It's fun to keep blaming the refs but the Hawks have just played a dumb game.

Why the hell does Bibby keep getting matched up on Lebron in critical situations as well? The switching worked against Miami but can they please just stop doing it every damn time down the floor when it's clearly not working?

I also wonder when they will call a foul on Lebron. you think sometime this century? I doubt it. Its starting to become stupid. The best player in the world shouldnt have that freedom to hack at all times, and barrel to the basket without a worrying about the foul.

Ive also come to realize that the Hawks can be good, but not until we mature. I know we say that alot but if we became mature, we would choke away leads at home. Cant wait till next season.

The hand-checking is only on CLE's part. Smoove drew contact on his drive the same way LBJ has several times. Joe is grabbed, pushed and reached around every time he touches the ball.

It's tempting to pretend to be unbiased by saying the refs are being fair but that's not what's going on.

As for dumb play, the Hawks are frustrated.

And with 5 minutes to go, the refs have called 2 fouls for Joe that have been going on for the entire game. With CLE with a 15 pt. lead. Big deal.

But HoopsGuru25, if it was "fair" earlier, why are they finally calling it now?

3rd foul for Joe. And a traveling call to bail out Smoove. The calls won't be triple for CLE when the game's over.
