Round 2: Vancouver @ Chicago (Hawks win 4-2!)

Post#1 » by SportsWorld » Tue Apr 28, 2009 6:25 am

Didn't care who we got. Either we got a well-rested Vancouver team or we got a red-hot San Jose Sharks team that would have won 3 in a row to make the 2nd round. Oh well onto Vancouver we go. This season has been a success whether we win this series or not. But hopefully we win this one.

This series may not be pretty.

Well, hope you kids had your fun with the Bulls. Now time to focus attention back on where it's deserved.

1st Period was terrible, the final 2 were great. Dominated play for the final 40 minutes.

This Hawks team is legit. There's a chance we can take down Detroit if we get past this round.

Let's get out of this round first, Annie Oakley.

Of course. I'm just saying this is the best hockey I've seen all year.

Havlat tied it up with 3:00. Hawks got **** over on what should have been a high stick or hooking penalty with less than :30 to go. To Overtime..

Momentum: Blackhawks

This team is more than capable of winning in Vancouver. Just have to take 1 there and 1 more at home. Hawks won this one playing one of their worst games of the season.

Helped that Vancouver felt like playing prevent defense all night.

Was at B-Dubs in Rockford watching this one and about the 12 of us there watching the game erupted with Havlat's goal...then subsequently the game winner.

Best of 3 series once again.

Tomorrow night's game is huge. If we can pull out a win in Vancouver then the elimination game for Vancouver is back at the UC. I don't want to have a Game 7 on the road.
