I'd take either but I think Amare would cost less.

I'd go with Chris Bosh. Amare is more explosive on offense, but I like Bosh's game more, and feel his impact would be greater. Both of them are semi injury prone.

Amar'e has recieved some freak injuries in his time but Bosh's injuries seem due more to the Raptors playing a 220 pound finesse player at Center.

i want Amare....... but something in the back of my head is telling me, for some reason, Joe Dumars has made comments that he desperatly wants Josh Smith and Chris Bosh. if the Hawks can some how work out a Bosh for Horford and filler trade, the Hawks could have Joe Dumars' dream team, with Bosh/Smith/Joe/Woodson.

Neither one seem high on playing the 5. Until that's cleared up I see no reason to pursue them.

What if Amare is damaged goods?

Nene's game's not built on running and jumping.

I would prefer Bosh but would be happy with Amare too. If we could trade for Amare and sign someone like Gortat to play next to him we would have a pretty strong front line. Gortat is a good defender and a very good defensive rebounder which is what you want next to Amare.

I think that it probably depends on who else is on the roster. Though I think on paper the trade I think makes the most sense is Horford and Marvin for Bosh, I really don't know if Bosh and Josh can work as a frontcourt. (certainly not with Woodson as a coach... that wold take some creativity) With Amare I think that I'd rather have Josh Smith because that shotblocking would be so critical.

I don't particularly want to see Josh, Marvin, or Al on an EC team. For that reason, I'd prefer Amare.

I still think a softer move for someone like Kaman would be just as good.

I couldn't care any less about trading guys within the conference or even the division. The Hawks need to pass up too many teams to worry about helping out any particular team.

Amare seems to have more talent and production than Bosh, Amare might be a better teammate for Joe, and it might take less to get Amare than Bosh.

you might be able to only have to offer Horford and Speedy for Amare, while i think a Bosh deal, TOR will demand Smith.

I do think that Bosh might be more likely to resign with the Hawks where I think that Amare is a real risk to only want to play with D'Antoni

This situation needs to be looked at from all angles. Amare didn't support Terry Porter, so how am I suppose to believe he's going to support another defensive minded Coach? Amare just raises question marks with me. Chris Bosh on the other hand seems like the better fit. The other big question mark about both of them is the 5.

If its a frontline of either Bosh or Amare paired with Smith then Woodson absolutely cannot be the coach. He is a traditional coach and thats a situation that would certainly require creativity that woodson simply doesn't have. The Hawks couldn't have an average coach- it would have to be someone better.

As a Pistons fan, I have never heard these comments and I doubt that the bolded statement is true because that is tampering.
