New found love for Farmar.

Post#1 » by lakersfanatic » Sat May 9, 2009 5:20 pm

Was it just me or was Farmar on fire yesterday?? Who's this new Farmar?

I mean i saw determination, i saw scoring, i saw defense, i saw jumping in front of balls and getting his team mates into the game. Other than kobe, Farm was awesome yesterday. His matchup with aaron brooks was perfect. I hope this means more minutes for farmar. We obviously know that Dfish isn't cutting with aaron... he should let Dfish rest more for the next series.

Keep it up Farmar!!

lol it's funny, when he is in a slump we demand him to be traded, now he's playing awsome and he gets his own thread.............
it's when other posters that go against the Lakers that get their throats shoved with information that's so holy, that you simply can't go wrong! Not choosing LA is like defying the laws of Physics, then feel the wrath of the all mighty Lakers Nation

im not convinced yet. Every player in the league would have a good game or 2 in a while. Hell, Adam Morrison had good games too before. If he shows up for the rest of the playoffs and provide some offensive spark off the bench, than i'd have a new found love for him too maybe

haha, true.. it takes more than one game to really prove your realible. But you gotta love what you saw yesterday. Maybe phils mind game worked on farmar. I mean it looked like he was trying to show the world he's not just a 3rd string bench player. But if he can keep it up (that is.. if he gets more mins).. then good things can come.

Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

The thing is, is he only going to play well when he starts? He still hasn't developed enough skills or the consistency to be in the lineup.

Yeah he balled hard, now for all of you mentioning the regular season..........it's over get over it. It's about NOW and what he did last night and you gotta give credit for that instead of trying to tear him down for something we don't have to worry about for like 5 months from now.

Stay in the moment and give props for NOW, and last night he realized what must be done from here on out.

He played big no doubt about that. I think Phil would have flirted with the idea of starting Vujacic instead but he showed the faith in Farmar and he produced. Hopefully now he gets out of the doghouse and gets 20 - 25 mins a game. 12 and 7 assists in 32 minutes is very impressive and all of those are true PG assists while pushing the ball and making smart decisions.

Anyways no one can complain against a 7:1 asst/TO ratio for a PG on any night.

like our good friend Stu Lantz says, "one good game doesn't put you in a slump, and one good game doesn't get you out of one". We need to see more then one game to deem him our best option at the point. but it was nice to see him bring it yesterday!!!

maybe it was because of matchups??

maybe farmar's just not versatile enough to guard big PGs but only small quick ones?

Farmer has started one less game in the playoffs as he has started during the regular season in his entire career. I believe he has started 5 playoff games and 6 regular season games in his career. Give him a break. This guy has been a winner all his life. Fisher should be the one to worry. Farmer is better guardind Brooks than either of our PG's.

just when you guys had "new found love for Farmar", Brooks goes off for a career high 34 pts. Farmar needs a huge game 5 and he's very possible of doing it.

yeah, that hurt yesterday... Seemed like the rockets couldn't miss a shot.. even battie went on fire on us. But i think farmar did well for us yesterday..even though yet again.. phil opted for fisher. sighn.. While watching the 25pt deficit in the 3rd and 4th.. farmar did spark some pts in there bring it back down.. I hope phil either start shannon or farmar next game and he how it goes..

I love to say I told you so. Farmar is still the future pg in LA. They should start him.

Yea at this point I think its time for FIsh to step down. He was a great player for us in his younger days but now I think FIsh starting is hurting us. Fisher needs to let Phil know that Farmar is the deserving point guard. Farmar did really good when he started and played more minutes.
