Your team has some savy veteran players who can step up in this series against stiff competition in LA. Certainly losing Yao made winning the series much harder, but as T-wack noted, the series is far from over. Who knows, maybe other guys can step up for your team and at the very least make every game competitive from here on out. Guys like Scola, Artest, and Battier still pose a great threat for Houston, it should be interesting to see how things can unfold here in a situation where many have probably unfairly discounted the Rockets.

We should hit LA with Blitzkrieg type offence.

C: Scola
PF: Artest
SF: Battier
SG: Wafer
PG: Brooks

We run. We run like hell, every play up the court. Quick offense, Phoenix does it in 7 seconds, we do it in 5 seconds. We rotate quickly on subs, and we run some more. We might have taken a Mortal blow with Yao going down, but we fight with our last breath.

Then we run some more.

Thoughts running inside my head, we graft Admantium to Yao's bones, and it ends our problems.

Just a thought.

I think this was a great year on two fronts. We won a first round series. And we figured our future all in the same season. We know we can't build around McGrady and Yao. We likely will not re-sign Artest. I think Morey knows now for sure that he has to make some sort of splash in 2010.

Not many teams get the luxury of winning while at the same time realizing that the team needs to take a different direction.

I think Morey, Adelman and Alexander need to be complimented for the job they have done with this team. I think they have taken it as far as it can possibly go.

Come on guys, it ain't over til it's over! We still have the Great Wes Unseld, the Enforcer, the Reigning Finals MVP, the Gasol/Bynumnator, and the Heart and Soul of the Houston Rockets.

Clutch City v2.0 here it comes!

The thing that annoys me is that we're wasting Scola's prime years/contract on this base. If we had a real core, he and Landry would push us waaaay over the top. I don't know how well he's going to work for us when he's 32 (the approximate time I'd expect we should be ready to make another run, at the earliest).
Morey 2020.

im looking for landry to step it up big time, for some reason the lakers have been having trouble with him - i still think the series is over in 5, but it should be competitive to say the least with battier getting more shots and artest getting even more aggressive

not a HOU fan, but I do appreaciate you guys playing the way you have this season. no Yao no TMac and you guys are still all tied up at 2-2 vs LA in the Western Semis. Just a wonderful season for you guys no matter the outcome.

Well we got out of the first round so I'm happy everything else was just a bonus.
