It truly was a craptacular game that ultimately came down to the poise of the last shot. I walked away and didn't watch the whole 3rd quarter but glad I could take in the rest.
That's kind of the cool thing......waiting for it......waiting for it......ain't happening.....and then, boom, Melo hits that shot and everything all right.

I'm not a Nuggets fan, but my 2-cents worth on last night. Yes, the ref messed up, and it wasn't even a missed judgment call, it was just wrong. Yes, fouling in that situation is a longstanding NBA tactic, and an intelligent act, just like sending the other team to the FT line 90 times in the last 3 minutes, or timeouts every 5 seconds, or hack-a-shaq was. So, in line with the rules of the game, Dallas has a gripe.
But after seeing lousy, inconsistent foul calls deciding games for 40 years, usually with the ref sending a star to the line after they rush in and initiate the vaguest of contact, how upset am I because a ref let a play go on, and let the game be decided by a great player making a great play in a high pressure situation?
Ummmm, how about not at all?

This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Well that's just it. What's more exciting, seeing Melo hit that three to win the game, or see inbounds after inbounds because Dallas doesn't want to play solid defense? There's one second left. Better defense could have been played, it wasn't, ball went in.

Yes I understand it was a missed call... but it still would have left about 2.7 or so seconds... even after the missed call, Melo still had to make the shot. If Wright wraps him up after the "fumble" like he should have...then there is about 3.5 to 4 seconds... I would be mad if I was a Mavericks fan, but damn...if Dirk makes one of his last 5 shots...especially the 15 footer with 8 seconds... the game would probably have been over. If they played some D and didn't give Melo a lay up with 28.5 seconds. They missed 3 free throws in the last 3 minutes. The Nuggets played so so all day and hung around... the Mavs let the Nuggets stay there... and Melo was clutch!!!! If he bricks the shot, you think anyone would be whining about this at all??? Hell no.
Woody Paige said this was a "Hochuli" call... not even close. The Nuggets would have had the ball out of bound with a few seconds left...they never lost possession of the ball... If Kobe or LeBron make that shot...it's on NBA amazing commercials 5 seconds after the game... but because it's the Nuggets and Melo... everyone focuses on the "missed" call. Maybe all this BS about the call will fire up the Nuggets for game 4 and take out the brooms.

Holding on to what I believe in
No matter what you'll never take that from me
My reign is as far as your eyes can see
It's amazin', so amazin', so amazin', so amazin'
It's amazin', so amazin', so amazin', so amazin'
