Tuesday, May 12 - Sportsnet 7PM
A.J. Burnett, RHP (2-0, 5.26) vs. Roy Halladay, RHP (6-1, 3.29)

Scouting Report:
Yankees: Assuming the Yankees don't alter their rotation with Monday's off-day, Burnett will face his former team for the first time this season. The right-hander is coming off Wednesday night's no-decision to Tampa Bay, in which Burnett allowed three runs over six innings. While not his best performance, Burnett did strike out eight Rays and was optimistic in his performance going forward.

Blue Jays: Toronto's ace was dominating in his last effort, reeling off eight strong innings in a road victory over the Angels on Wednesday. Halladay blanked Los Angeles for seven frames before allowing one run. The right-hander scattered six hits and ended with six strikeouts, two walks and 13 outs induced via ground balls. Halladay has six wins in seven starts, marking the fastest he has reached that many victories in a season in his career. In 32 games against New York in his career, Halladay has gone 15-5 with a 2.86 ERA. He went 5-1 with a 2.40 ERA against the Yankees last season.

Wednesday, May 13 - Sportsnet 7PM
Andy Pettitte, LHP (2-1, 4.38) vs. Scott Richmond, RHP (4-1, 3.29)

Scouting Report:
Yankees: Pettitte is coming off a disappointing outing, in which he allowed a career-high four home runs and allowed five runs in six innings to the Rays. He did not factor in the decision in an eventual 8-6 Yankee loss. After not allowing more than three earned runs in any of his first four starts, Pettitte has now had two tough starts in a row. He surrendered five runs in 5 2/3 innings to the Angels on May 1.

Blue Jays: Richmond gave up more runs in one inning (five) in his last start than he has in any of his 10 previous starts. It doesn't mean the league has caught up to him though. After giving up five runs in the second inning of a 5-3 loss to Oakland on Friday, he pitched one-hit ball over the final six innings and recorded his first career complete game. This guy is a winner.

Thursday, May 14 - Sportsnet 7PM
CC Sabathia, LHP (2-3, 3.94) vs. Brian Tallet, LHP (2-1, 4.95)

Scouting Report:
Yankees: Sabathia was in total control of the Orioles, hurling a complete-game four-hit shutout in his best performance as a Yankee to date. Sabathia had command of all his pitches and was locked in after Alex Rodriguez belted a three-run homer in the first inning, retiring 23 of 24 Orioles through one stretch. He walked one and struck out eight in the performance, hurling his 11th career complete-game shutout.

Blue Jays: Tallet will make his regular start as the Blue Jays adjusted their rotation for the Yankees series. Robert Ray was pushed back to allow Tallet to make the start in the third game of the series with New York. It's a good choice. Tallet is coming off two consecutive overpowering starts. He completed a career-high seven innings in each of his last two starts and allowed four runs and six hits combined. He's throwing strikes and working quickly. Only one of his five starts thus far could be considered bad. In 20 relief appearances against the Yankees, he has a win, a hold and a 2.86 ERA.

I'm very excited for this series. Hopefully we just crush these guys. Nothing would make me happier.

Important series and an early test of sorts... Really hope we play well, grab a few wins and earn ourselves some more legitimacy.

Teams should do that more often. To Papelbon, too.

Finally a meaningful series. I hope we clobber them in each game, especially Tuesday.

However I have a feeling that good AJ is going to show up Tuesday and strike out like 14 batters. :-?

good job on the series thread LittleOzzy.

lol seriously. One of the downfalls of attracting fairweather fans will be the reactional jump-to-conclusion posts we'll have to deal with. Hopefully it won't be how to the Raps board gets at times in that regard.

Anyway, anyone wanna tell me how O's fans were chirping at Joba?
