either way, i have a feeling that petire will get one of those pg's. he loves euro's (i consider jennings a euro). He loves skills. We need a pg. i dont know if petrie will go into the griffin hype (proven by drafting thompson) since could be a stronger kenyon martin. i could see us trading the #1 to get petries guy. i trust petrie, he will get us a good player

In all seriousness, I would rather trade the first pick if we got it to either Minnesotta or OKC. Thunder could land the 4th, with the 25th pick... and Wolves 5th and 18th... that way we get 3 total first rounders instead of two... fill more NEEDED holes. 4/5 we could get Jennings cuz Rubio will be gone.

I don't know. If we don't get griffin or rubio in this draft i will be a little disappointed. I know we need a pg badly but there are so many in this draft that have good potential that we could get with our late 1st. If we don't get rubio or jennings with our 1st pick then hopefully flynne, holiday, evans, or lawson will fall. Worst case senario is petrie picking harden or thabeet or someone like that hoping that one of those pgs will fall and they don't. But if we get the #1 I still expect petrie to draft griffin.

Griffin is too talented to pass up, and there are like 3-5 point guards that show promise right now. Really the question is can Griffin pass and shoot? If he has the ability to pass and shoot, then he IS the guy we want no question.

In the event that we do trade down, Im not intersted in the swap for 4th or 5th with their other late first rounders. If we trade down out of first, I want a swap to 4th and 5th and an already proven young player on their team. Someone we know that will make a difference. Unless its another Lotto Pick, we need something more proven than just another late round pick.

Me too. I think this draft is THAT deep at PG. All the above mentioned are starting caliber PG's in the NBA IMO.

Smills I just don't see all of those PG's as starters, and I'm not looking at the list of starters anyway I'm looking at star potential.

Rubio, Evans, Jennings IMO are the three that right now seem to have high ceilings. Guys like Teague and Collison seem to have a lot to prove. Johnny Flynn just may be too small at the pro level. Curry is a combo guy in the mold of Douby. Lawson should be solid though, but maybe not a star.

Hell I would take Griffin and Calathes (worst case) over Rubio and Daye (or whatever trash is there). Griffin is so far ahead of the other players, then you add in the incredibly deep pg class, and you got the makings of an easy choice. Maybe move up a few spots and grab Maynor or something and we are set. Grab Casspi in the 2nd round and I may buy petrie a fruit basket.

I doubt he makes it that far, and thats means even more of a reason to take Griffin #1 and pg with 23.

I think his downside is Robert Traylor, but his upside is "Big Baby", who is turning into a nice PF for the Celtics (and a player we could have had if we would have traded Noci to Boston, apparently).
