Had a feeling we'd win Game 4, not the same feeling going into Game 5, but I think we can surprise more than Laker fans are predicting..

My prediction:

The Rockets keep it close for three quarters, then the Lakers pull away in the 4th because of some shady officiating.

Not different from what happened last time the Lakers were challenged in the second round with the series tied 2-2:

No doubt. The Lakers will come back firing.
We need to push the ball, and limit our turnovers. The Lakers hardly turn the ball over, especially when they're at home.

That Bad Boys picture is f**kin Jks. I gotta agree with Jazzfan. Come out strong cuz the Laker will not let us do what we did in gme 4.

As high as I am on today's game, we've got to come back down a bit for Tuesday's game.

I know that many counted us out when Yao was done - and I am not going to embarrass myself by saying that we are better without the big fella - but we are far from pushovers without him.

Last time we lost Yao, the team won 12 in a row on their way to a 22-game win streak. This is a more complete, more cohesive team this time around, and we don't need 12 wins in a row - we need 11 wins total Post-Yao to win this thing. One win is down, the Lakers will most definately adjust, but this series just took on a whole new dynamic.

No team has had as much success while dealing with as much lineup adversity as the 2008-2009 Houston Rockets. We're still in this; we can win this!

Go Rockets!

where's the Brooks appreaciation thread? I had the pleassure to watch this guy when he played down in the D-league for the home team the RGV Vipers. Just like he did today, he did it for 6 games down at the d-league. great player, even a better person.

This season as a team we shot 45.3% 3pt: 37.5% PPG: 98.4

Today we shot 45% 3pt: 34.5% PPG: 99

We shot how we normally shoot so there's no reason we can't repeat that again, twice. It's not like we were just hot. Granted we were without our highest percentage shot taker in Yao. The difference in the game was hustle and defensive intensity. Let's bring that kind of intensity and defense and not even Stern can take this game away from us!!! (At least I hope not b/c if Artest and Brooks gets ejected for no reason....imma be very pissed to say the least)

These rockets have played above my expectations. Win or lose, just keep playing that great defense and make it hard for the lakers. This series will be great for the younger rockets. I hope the rest of the rockets can take this opportunity and grow into better players.

Limit TO and play D = win

I know we can still beat the Lakers because the only reason why we lost game 2 and 3 was the 20+ TO which gave the lakers 18-23 points on our mistakes.

Portland series we did a great job with TO. We need to keep this up.

This season has been a success and with all our superstars went down one by one we could still put up a respectable fight. I am so proud of this team.

Back to game 5, as everyone mentions, we need to keep our TOs down. Based on the 4th quarter (of game 4), we couldn't able to stop the penetration and limit the points in the paint. That's another aspect RA need to solve. Ron need to control himself especially when his hands are die cold. Simultaneously, we have to shoot the ball extremely well on road. Keep the good stuffs that we displayed on game 4 - share the ball, make extra pass, fight every offensive rebounds and loose ball, crowd the lane (defensively). We could pull this one out.

wow we won game 4
are we really that good?
lakers aint playing like a nba team yesterday
no defense rotation
careless turnover (a few of them just throw the ball into rockets hand)
the game is so awful it looked like they are faking the ball game
or maybe they were partying all night long (who know)

Return to Houston Rockets
