Game 5: Rockets 78 - Lakers 118 (Lakers Lead 3-2)

After getting badly beat at the Toyota Center, our boys come back to try to right the ship. They let their guard down with the loss of Yao Ming; outhustled, outgunned and outclassed.

Now it's back to Hollywood. Jack's in town and he'll be wanting a beatdown. So do the Laker faithful. It's gonna be a barnburner! TAKE THE FIGHT TO THEM!

Tied 2-2, it's time to take advantage the way this team is capable of doing and should be.

Amazing work. Let's hope the Lakers can play half as good as this game thread. If we do, we'll win by 20.

hahahaha how did you guys lose game 4?!? In all seriousness...Rockets are depleted...don't even have a 7 footer out there.....you guys seriously do not deserve to win the championship this year playing like that.

Highlight: Brian Cook popping a 3.....for him to score anything is sad

Hope better luck runs next game for you guys.

For anyone hoping for a blowout, keep dreaming, not going to happen. I say we win but it will be a close game. This team is going home, so there going to chillax again lol. Ohh brother.

Lakers 103 Houston 99 - To the chants of "We Want Tacos" should be changed to "We want title"

I think most posters here would agree with you, but the way you went about it makes me think you've never gotten a warning for trolling before. Take this as a kinder gentler mod warning.

Good point.

It's unclear whether Lamar Odom will be fit to play in Game 5. The Lakers said he suffered back spasms after falling to the court with 6:01 left in the third quarter. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI exam and a CT scan today. Odom said "it probably wouldn't be smart" to practice today. "Hopefully, I can help them when they play," Odom said. "It hurts pretty bad." Odom was injured when he collided with Houston's Shane Battier, who slid over to take a charge. Odom, who was focused on the rim, never saw Battier. LA Daily News

Kobe needs to get another one of these videos out on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZpWJtgv ... L&index=12

If he makes one of these videos Bynum and the other Lakers will be playing at 100%. Kobe needs to knock some god damn sense into these guys. Kobe needs to say "Screw what the media will say about me" Hes got the guys to help him win a title, he just needs to change their attitude in the playoffs. If Lamar isn't there we need to get Bynum going. Kobe should try to get Bynum's confidence up by feeding him the ball and giving him easy looks. If he starts getting points maybe he will begin to say this to himself, "Im not hurt or else I wouldn't be scoring, now its time to do work on the defensive end." It doesn't seem like we have tried to get him going but with everything looking like its going to hell can we please warm him up. If he can have a game where he plays anything close to the way he did before his injuries then it will definitly be a huge confidence boost not only to Bynum but to this team. A spark like that is what we are really missing because right now it appears the Lakers attitude is we don't care about winning a championship.

I apologize, I didnt really think it is trolling considering I was trying to start conversation of where the Lakers are at. I am a general fan of the NBA, and have been posting on all boards to hear feedback. This Rockets team should of been swept from the get go....so I just didnt understand why they weren't, and now has been expanded to at least game 6.

I mean we have trollers (from lakers board) on the Rockets board since game 1 calling out sweep and speaking random languages. I just find it funny how those trollers arent saying much now. I still think Lakers will win, but it makes me doubt on what caliber you guys are in terms of a championship team. There was also a thread developed earlier on your board on which team you guys would prefer to play (nuggest or cavs) and you guys arnt even done with this series (talk about being cocky). All I am saying is, you wont survive either of those teams if you play like this against us. No trolling intended, just trying to understand why Lakers arent getting the job done.

Thank you for the warning.
