Yes, on tv. Davis' body is big and wide. I'm looking at roughly 300 pounds.

I never did pay attention to him until he hit that buzzer beater basket to be

A giant guy who cries... It's one of the most fitting nicknames ever. And no I don't hate the guy..I am being serious. I kinda love how he acts like he gets hit with a mack truck every time he gets fouled down low.

BBD lets the WHOLE WORLD knows that he got fouled. And it works too.

As westthebest mentioned he was so big he played football with the older kids. His youth football coach called him that. It stuck.

I am sure I have read some where it was a family memeber, like his Gran, who called him Big Baby when he was younger....right throught to school, where a coach heard the nick name and started using it.

I for one....like the nick name the "INCREDIBLE BULK!!"

Which brings us back to that "Big Baby" nickname, which could imply exactly the opposite.

Few would be quick to embrace such a moniker. But Davis doesn't hide from it.

"I was really large as a youngster. I used to play pee wee football, but I was too big and couldn't play with my age group. I had to play with the older kids and they would pick on me," Davis recalled. "I'm tough now, but I wasn't so tough back then. The coaches said, 'big baby's crying a lot.' Then it was like wildfire. I learned to embrace it."

As a child he went went to a basketball game and had seats on the sideline. As the game wound down a player hit a game winning shot and then in a moment of celebration bumped into Glenn knocking off his hat. Davis cried about this incident for so long that he got the nickname The Big Baby.

The story is like this.......During first formal team practice, Rajon injured his feet instead practiced with team mates he borrowed the Ipod from Davis...
Davis said: you get it from my practice bag
When Rondo open the bag of Davis to get the Ipod he found one bottled milk, since then Rondo called Davis "Big Baby"
