sadly, it looks right....I can definitely say that Deron is better than a couple of the guards on teams 2 and 3 but looking at team records, you really cant argue that he got snubbed, which I, personally, do believe he did

Pretty hard to disagree. If Deron had played 7 or 8 more games this last year, I might try to argue that he should be there instead of Parker. Even then, Parker had a great year, so it could really be a toss-up. Billups deserves to be on the third team - no argument from me on that one.

All I can say is that Shaq making the list really shows how weak the league currently is in terms of true centers.

I think Shaq had an outstanding year, especially for his age. Not dominant, but very good.

The DWill snub, I really can't argue that Parker deserved to be up there before him, but if it were in terms of playoff performances, Paul would fall wayyyyyyy off the list.

BUT, if they listed true PGs instead of Wade (I thought he was SG?), then Deron would fighting hard with Billups for the 3rd spot on the list.

Deron does not deserve to be on this list. Dont forget the first half of the season when he was injured and just plain sucked. Parker carried the spurs most of the year. And now with billups, denver may beat LA in the west conf finals.

Pierce sucked for half a season too, and he basically has 3 all-stars in Allen, KG, and Rondo.

Who cares if Wade is a SG, he was the best SG all year, even better than Kobe. Kobe, his switch... meh, Wade was better.

I agree that it looks solid, but I have to say that I don't like the Shaq selection. Why not Stoudamire, KJ, or Jefferson?

You mean KG? All three missed a lot of games.

Yup, I do mean KG
They missed a lot of games, but all played on a much higher level than Shaq (well, maybe not Garnett, but as soon as he went the Celtics got a lot less scary). Even Bosh (IMO) is a better selection. Of course, it is good that he gets it the year before he retires...

Honestly I thought that Deron had a better year than Tony Parker. With the complete revolving door lineups and a severe sprained ankle to start the year Derons stats stayed as high as always. It was a very very impressive campaign from Deron.

I agree it was tough to put d-will on the list, all the great performances from other guard like Billups and Parker and also the injury forcing d-will to struggle at the start of the season

It don't matter. I don't feel bad for anyone on the Jazz team right now for not getting accolades.

- Billups deserved better; his arrival completely change Western Conference layout; IMO he deserved Paul's place in the second team

- Nowitzki played no better than Pierce if you ask me...

From Jazz perspective, the selections reflects exactly how our players fared within th eleague this season. I disagree that Deron sould have been selected; by no means can be sustained he had a better season than Billups, Paul, Roy or Parker... I actually think there were even other guards more deserving...

These awards are for regular season and Billups didn't have a better regular season than Paul. Yes, he helped the Nuggets get to 2nd place in the WC but other players on that team stepped up this season as well to help them get there. Nene and Martin didn't seem to have the injuries they usually do so they were able to contribute more and J.R. and Andersen played big roles as well. Chauncey may have helped get things on the right track but as far as individual season, he didn't have a better regular season than Paul. But I understand like you said, it's your opinion.

Sad thing is, Boozer would be on there if he would have put together a full season likes he played before his injury...

I agree Boozer has the capability but when he only manages to play (on average) 2/3 of the season over his 5 years in Utah, it isn't going to happen very often.

I don't have any complaints. Shaq is a bit of a stretch but not exactly worth getting all worked up over. Al Jefferson put up 23 and 11 before tearing his ACL on Feb 8, missing 32 games on the season. He would have had a great case to make the list otherwise.

This list is, in many ways, a joke. Just as bad as the All Star game, but for very different reasons.
